Explore Indonesia aboard the unique Empress II liveaboard. Constructed of steel, the Empress II is the perfect budget option for diving Komodo and Raja Ampat. She offers many diver comforts, such as an electric lift to lower divers in to the water, eliminating the need for a giant stride entry, a full-size recompression chamber for added safety benefits whilst diving remote areas and many tech-diver conveniences. Previously participating in environmental projects to install over 350 mooring buoys in SE Asia, the MV Empress II has become familiar with some of the most secluded dive sites in Indonesia. The MV Empress II offers liveaboard dive trips to Komodo National Park, Ambon, Raja Ampat and the Forgotten Islands. Dive with schools of manta rays, see whales breaching at the surface and spot pygmy seahorses in this amazing and diverse region. Nitrox is available, but must be ordered in advance.

Topside the MV Empress offers plenty of space for relaxation. Catering to a maximum of 9 divers, there are 4 twin cabins and one single cabin on the lower deck. Each cabin has AC and portholes and bathrooms/showers are shared. The main deck features the large dining area, kitchen, living room and dive lift and chamber. The top deck is home to 2 sun decks, one featuring comfortable mattresses and a day bed, and the other with beanbags, bar and cinema under the stars.

The MV Empress II is a great budget-friendly option to explore Raja Ampat & Komodo. Book your adventure today.

Absolutely amazing trip Raja Ampat Central & South, Indonesia in March

The helpful, friendly and fun crew made our Raja Ampat trip in March 2017 an unforgettable time. Our room was very nice, the food was absolutely amazing and plentiful and the dives were planned and briefed very well. We couldn`t have wished for anything else and we'd highly recommend this ship for anyone who looks for an individual experience in an relaxed atmosphere due to the small number of divers on board. We may be back on board any time soon. Thanks again for the great time!

Value for Money Raja Ampat Central & South, Indonesia in March

Schedule for the dive safari is well mixed with others activities such as Hiking to the Stingless Jellyfish Lake and Raja Ampat Lookout point. Should include Kayaking activities in future schedule.

Great experience Komodo, Indonesia in June

The crew is professional when it comes to diving and boat safety, but they were also a lot of fun to hang out with and are a friendly and easy going. We met great people on the boat from all over and had a wonderful experience diving and socializing with everyone. The dive sites we visited were absolutely amazing!!! Saw lots of turtles and manta rays!:) Dolphins were visible from the surface. The water was wonderful, boat accommodations were a bit small but clean and had everything we needed. Food was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book this dive safari with Empress II:)

Value for your money Komodo, Indonesia in July

Night dive in Komodo are extraordinary. Even if it is a challenging itinary, crew on board know everything in this area. Under the sea they are great to communicate. Go with this crew with confiance. Each year there is missing diver at Komodo. We were witnesses of a disappearance in the currents of a diver of another liveabord on July 13, 2017. Believe me you want a team of confidence and security to dive in Komodo. | N'hésitez pas à réserver avec cette équipe, de plus si Audrée accompagné votre groupe vous aurez la chance d'avoir toutes les infos en français!

Excellent dives and staff; Average boat Komodo, Indonesia in August

Excellent dive sites and saw turtles, sharks (plenty), mantas, eagle rays, all sorts of fishes ... Dive guides extremely knowledgeable and avoided many direct currents. Stayed for two consecutive trips in a fan room. Overall facilities especially dive elevator - save trouble of climbing back into boat after diving. Divers however need to take quick showers otherwise fresh water will be a concern.

    Kid-friendly Komodo, Indonesia in June

My 12YO son and I had a good experience with Empress II this summer. Both Thomas and Michael are very patient helping my son get his AOW. My son loves them and had fun playing cards with them every night. Michael is very professional and serious about the safety of each diver. Thomas is fun and easy to get along with. The rooms are not luxury but functioning well. Food is good. Instructions are clear. Hope the company grows and we divers have affordable options diving in Komodo and Raja Ampat!

Budget liveaboard Bali - Komodo, Indonesia in September

Some beautiful reefs to dive, saw some new creatures which the guide showed us and he knew where to find them. Also saw mantas and mola mola. A lovely shore visit to the pink beach, with an excellent barbecue on another tiny island. The food was really excellent, although soft drinks were charged $2, which was a first for me on a liveaboard. On the downside - only one toilet and shower for guests to share, and the water ran out mid week (we were warned this may happen, so its probably a regular occurrence, in which case I wondered why the kitchen staff left taps running and sinks overflowing!). I chose this boat as it provided Nitrox, but there was none, and the hired kit was in poor state (neither dump valve worked on my BCD, zips broken on wetsuits). Polish was the main language, so I was slightly marginalised being English - but maybe this is the same on any liveaboard where there is a group booking. Overall good; you get what you pay for so if you want economy and are prepared to queue for the toilet or shower, the staff are committed to safe diving - and that's what I went for, not luxury.

Wonderful Trip Raja Ampat & Misool (The best in 8 days), Indonesia in December

Raja ampat is really world's best diving place. I could see amazing coral, a lot of fish. During trip, EmpressII gave me nice service. I and my wife were very satisfied. But the smog made by the boat made me suffer. If it is fixed, I will not hesitate to choose this boat for my next trip.
