Perfectly designed for small groups and individuals who want more personalized service, the Carpe Diem Phinisi offers year-round dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. There are only 4 cabins available, with a maximum of 8 guests onboard. The Nutmeg cabin is a large double on the main deck and spans almost the entire boat's width. It has large forward-facing windows, a skylight, and ample storage space. On the lower deck is the Clove cabin, which has two single beds which can be converted to 1 double upon request. Also located on the lower deck are cabins Pandan and Cinnamon. These have one double and one single and can be used as a triple. The lower deck cabins have natural light and ventilation via porthole and skylight, and all cabins have en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled AC.
Social areas include the well-appointed saloon in the main deckhouse, which can comfortably accommodate 8 guests around the large table. Delicious locally sourced meals are served at the al fresco dining table, and dietary requirements can be catered to with advance notice.
Dive itineraries aboard the Carpe Diem Phinisi include Raja Ampat from November to April, Komodo from May to September, and some unforgettable trips in Ambon, the Banda Islands, and South Raja Ampat in between. One of my best memories of a diving trip with Cecile and her team. The fact that we are in a small group and have such an attentive and caring team contributes to making this stay a very beautiful trip to the ends of the world. The most beautiful dive of my life (more than 300) on Melissa's garden. And the general and festive release of the last one will remain a memorable moment in my mind. Thank you Cecile, Agus, Jaesen and the other crew members for this trip.

Unparalleled service aboard the luxurious Carpe Diem Phinisi
Small dive group made for a personal experience on board, both while diving and also on deck. Owner/operators took care of all the logistics and the crew was superbly organized, which meant our every desire was anticipated and catered toward. The chef made sure every meal was full of variety and flavor. We requested and stayed in the largest cabin, Pala, which was very comfortable.

Great boat with small group of divers, nice atmosphere
Diving with 6 or 7 mantas next to MANTA SANDY. The splendid corals of MELISSA GARDEN. Diving at Cape Kri, with current and lots of action. Humpback parrots. Cuttlefish. Carpet sharks and flamboyant cuttlfish during night dives.

Wonderful dive experiences in Raja Ampat and Komodo
I had the pleasure of being onboard the Capre Diem Phinisi in Komodo Island in August 2024 and Central Raja Ampat in January 2025, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The dive itineraries were well thought out and could be adjusted on-site to enhance the customer experience. Cecile and Agus are outstanding dive masters and exceptional critter spotters. They provided detailed briefings on each dive site, ensuring we were well-prepared. The rest of the crew were equally friendly and approachable. Special mention must go to the chef—the food served throughout the trip was absolutely delicious. The boat accommodates a maximum of eight guests, offering a more intimate and family-like experience onboard. I strongly recommend the Capre Diem Phinisi for trips to both Komodo and Raja Ampat.

Best liveaboard!
We had a fantastic liveaboard with Carpe Diem! The entire crew was very attentive, helpful and always friendly – in general, everything was perfectly organized, with great communication in advance. We felt safe at all times. The weather is closely monitored, the best routes and dive sites are selected, so we saw a great variety underwater (wobbegongs, manta rays, cuttlefish, nudis, pygmy seahorse, orangutan crab, huge schools of fish and much more). The excursions on land were also well timed and perfectly selected - incredibly beautiful landscape. The food was incredibly delicious and varied every day and they even make sure that you drink enough. Sustainability is also taken into account. We were also very lucky with the other divers – a great group with whom we had a lot of fun.The liveaboard was simply the best we have ever experienced. We would definitely like to make more trips with Carpe Diem and can recommend it without reservation!

Above and below the water everything was exceptional
Seeing something new and exciting each and every day under the water, and engaging in interesting and varied conversation with the other guests (made possible by having small guest numbers), while being well looked after by Cecile, Agus and the rest of the crew. My highlight was the entire trip - I will be back!
