Blue Lotus is a traditional Indonesian liveaboard dedicated exclusively to Komodo National Park, offering year-round dive trips in one of the world’s most spectacular marine environments. Accommodating 10 to 12 guests across 5 cabins and 3 decks, she offers an intimate, comfortable setting for exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Twin and triple cabins are located on the lower deck, while the upper deck master suite offers ocean views and a private balcony. All cabins feature warm teak interiors, air conditioning, and private en-suite bathrooms.
Social spaces onboard include indoor and outdoor lounges, a shaded sun deck, and dining areas where freshly prepared meals are served both inside and al fresco. Built for diving expeditions, Blue Lotus features a spacious dive deck with gear preparation areas, rinse stations, outdoor showers, 2 support tenders, and Nitrox for certified divers. Professional dive guides keep a maximum ratio of 1 guide to 4 guests, while a trained and experienced crew helps ensure a smooth, safe, and well-organized journey.
Blue Lotus offers carefully planned 4- to 8-day Komodo itineraries visiting world-famous dive sites such as Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Manta Point. Depending on the trip, guests can enjoy up to 23 dives, including night dives, as well as island excursions and encounters with manta rays, sea turtles, reef sharks, and Komodo dragons. Operated through Azul Komodo, a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Center, PADI Eco Center, and Green Fins Silver-certified operation, Blue Lotus combines local expertise with a strong commitment to sustainable tourism, ocean conservation, and the communities of Komodo.

Outstanding Five-Star Komodo Liveaboard Experience
We had an outstanding experience aboard Blue Lotus and would highly recommend it! The entire crew was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful, while the dive guides were highly professional. Before every dive, they gave us detailed briefings covering the dive site, currents, possible scenarios and exactly what to do if conditions changed. They also explained which marine species we might encounter and where to look for them—out in the blue or closer to the reef. Safety was clearly their top priority. The team continuously monitored the weather, currents and sea conditions. On a couple of occasions, they changed the order of the dives accordingly, but this did not take anything away from the experience—in fact, it showed how attentive and professional they were. I especially appreciated that, despite this being a dedicated diving liveaboard, they also organised several wonderful land activities, including a visit to Rinca Island in Komodo National Park, Pink Beach and a sunset trip to Gili Lawa. Amazing diving, excellent organisation and a genuinely lovely crew. A true five-star experience! THANK YOU!! I wish to see you again… soon :)

Fantastic. Amazing crew and guides, and a lovely on board experience. Their knowledge of the dive sites is first rate, and their care for us as divers and guests was first rate. The food was wonderful and plentiful. There was something new every day. It was amazing what they turned out, and it’s a great mix of Indonesian and western. The cabins are pretty comfy, and are all ensuite. I highly recommend this outfit if you want a more personal and amazing dive trip.

Wonderful dive trip in Komodo
Where to start? Everything about the 6 days that we spent on Blue Lotus was exceptional. It far surpassed our best expectations! The diving was fantastic- world class. Coral reefs, so many fish, sharks and mantas etc. Maxro also very good. The boat is new, very well designed and comfortable. The cabins have lots of usable space (we had a twin). The beds are very comfortable and there’s lots of space on the boat for chilling out with beds and bean bags across the decks. The food was excellent. Every meal was varied , tasty, with 3-4 protein dishes each meal (fish, prawns, squid, chicken, beef, tofu) and lots of vegetables, rice, noodles, fruit, cakes, ice cream etc. Presentation was also good restaurant standard. The crew and catering staff were top notch, very happy and did everything for you. The dive equipment was pretty new and very good quality and condition. The dive masters were great and, whilst the group maximum is 4 divers per divemaster, our group had 4 divemasters for 9 divers due to the mix of diving standards in the group. We had the great fortune to dive with Stefan Rayworth who was by far the best divemaster we’ve ever dived with. Planning and execution of the dives were spot on, we felt extremely safe with him, and he finds everything from mantas and shark to nudibranchs and seahorses. The back office team were also great with prompt communications from Feli. We would go with Blue lotus again in a heartbeat

Succesful first liveaboard experience
Komodo is an incredible place to dive, it truly feels like a dream! The abundance of life is unmeasurable. As this was my first liveaboard, I was a little nervous about the strong currents Komodo is known for, but I felt very safe in the hands of the Blue Lotus team. You can tell they carefully plan every dive, and are ready to provide an alternative if the conditions are not suitable at a specific dive site. Dealin The boat was comfortable and exactly as I expected from the photos. The crew truly spoiled us with delicious food, plenty of snacks, and kept us well-hydrated all the time.

Fish, food, and fun..... all over the top.
My week aboard Blue Lotus exceeded all of my expectations. You are on a liveaboard to maximize your diving and the sites around Komodo did not disappoint. The quantity and variety of the sites and the fish seen was exceptional. The highlights include 14 turtle sitings on one dive, spending 60 minutes watching 6 manta rays glide and circle about, and the current of the Shotgun. The staff and other guests also made the trip fun and memorable. The peace and solitude experienced each morning was a world away from my usual work and urban living. The trip was relaxing and exciting beyond expectation.

Best dive holiday in 20 years of trips - outstanding sites, service and boat
As a same sex (male) couple travelling on the Blue Lotus we were welcomed by crew, guides, and other guests alike. We did not experience any issues or discrimination - the opposite in fact. So, we would highly recommend this company for other same sex couples looking for an outstanding diving adventure holiday. We stayed in the upstairs cabin which had wonderful large windows along 2 walls, and a small private balcony which was wonderful. Our expectations for the whole experience - dive quality, guides, boat, food, and even the other guests - were all exceeded. This really was the best diving and dive holiday we have ever done over our 20 years of being advanced divers. The sea was still as a lake 99% of the time - uncanny. Stefan and Sarah, the guides who spent the most time with us, were really excellent, and we felt in safe hands as we navigated the extraordinary dive sites, especially in the more tricky 'Shotgun/cauldron' and 'Castle Rock' - both outstanding. The crew worked very hard to make our experience seemless, looking after all aspects of gas change over and moving gear to the speedboats. Rooms were made-up and towels changed during dives, and it was always nice to return to a made-up room. The food was great - 3 very large meals a day plus snacks and refreshing juice drinks after ever dive. The staff to guest ratio is basically 1:1 on the boat, creating an outstanding experience that providers in other countries cannot really match. We rented kit and it was all excellent quality, including a very good dive computer. Stefan, our guide and also the dive master, was excellent and the briefings for the sites were very good. We saw manta rays, many sharks, trurtles, octopus, and large shoals of fish. Already dreaming of returning to do all the sites again on the same boat - it really was excellent.

Absolutely stunning dive sites and heaven for drift diving.
The 8 days/7 nights trip was absolutely packed with action and adventure. The highlight was not only the great dive sites but also the other activities like the visit to the Komodo National Park, sun rise hike and more. The guides were amazing so is the hospitality of the entire crew. Food options are great. The room was a little cramped up but that’s not a big deal breaker when compared to all the other positives. For drift diving this trip is a dream come true.

Great Liveaboard experience in a 7D trip. Knowledgeable dive master, incredible amount and quality of food and a great boat! It was my first experience and I highly recommend it. They have towels for after dives and for your shower. Boat is well maintained and crew is very upbeat!
