The 32m M/V Ambai liveaboard schedules year-round diving cruises to the amazing bio-diverse areas of Halmahera, Triton Bay, Banda Sea, The Forgotten Islands, and Raja Ampat. An experienced crew of 16 is on hand to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction both in and out of the water. Ambai can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 deluxe cabins. Each cabin features individual climate control and a private bathroom with a shower. Guests can relax in the air-conditioned lounge, on the shadow deck, and on the sun deck. Each offers stylish, comfortable seating and serene surroundings.
Dive amenities onboard Ambai include a large dive deck, three dive tenders, Nitrox, and 4 dive guides. Great dive safari
August 20-29, 2026, Halmahera I want to thank cruise leader Frank and the entire Ambai crew for a wonderful diving and holydays. Frank did a great job with perfect and smooth organization of all processes on the boat. Everything was perfectly orchestrated, starting from welcome emails to airport transfers. A great attention was paid to the guests' needs and wishes relating their interests in the underwater world, food preferences, etc. We’ve got a sufficient number of dive-guides with small groups and flexibility for divers of varying experience levels. The cabins were very clean, comfortable, with plenty of space and hot water. The crew was always welcoming and helpful. They are wonderful singers! Very musical team! Starlink was available all the time. The region near Halmahera has very interesting dive sites with preserved coral reefs.

Excellent Liveaboard !!!
Definitely worth taking the big tour going to Misool and Raja Ampat north.Shadow Reef is a must !!! Lots of variety in the diving sites. Excellent staff and good guides. Ambai is a nice boat, very well rigged for diving and comfort. Diving deck (in the shade) and 2 relaxing decks with sofas and bean bags. Very good food as well, and in quantity. Thanks to Akim, the competent cruise director, the atmosphere is relaxed, yet very rigorous in safety and very efficient in the way diving is organized. On our trip, the majority of the customers were French. Thanks to Liveaboard as well, who traded this trip for us very professionally.

Wonderful diving. Best crew ever.
Nice ship, very clean and confortable. Everything was perfectly organized. Marco (the dive cruise director) and all the crew were awesome, working hard 24/7 just to keep us happy and very friendly with us. Very good dives, beautiful coral gardens. Crew always keeping an eye on you, everything was always rechecked and seems to feel more safe. Food was nice. I would book again with Ambai for sure.

Amazing Cruise in Raja Ampat
It is a really nice boat. The Meals were great, Most of the dives were really amazing. There is a lot of Macro stuff to see, as well as some current divespots. I would recommend the trip on Ambai.

It was worth every hour spent on the plane ride to experience all that Ambai had to offer.
The cruise director bent over backwards to accomodate my groups needs. My two sons needed some special attention to be properly prepared for the diving conditions. He helped then get their nitrox and advanced certifications in a manner where they had fun while learning. The currents presented challenges but the guides helped in every respect so we felt safe & prepared for each dive.

Amazing experience 10/10
I had the pleasure of doing a 13 day trip covering South Raja and Triton Bay. Everything was smoothly organised and ran well from the cruise director, the dive leads, chefs and support staff. The dive sites themselves were incredible and the dive leads were great at pointing out macro subjects. Just a superb experience.
