- Selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee
Set sail on an Indonesian adventure aboard the Akomo Isseki liveaboard. A traditional hand-crafted wooden phinisi, she is crewed by the Bugis sailors of South Sulawesi and offers fantastic dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. Four naturally vented cabins with twin beds cater to 8 guests on board. Shared bathrooms feature modern facilities and traditional handicrafts. Social areas include the communal dining area and a large partially covered sun deck. Enjoy a selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee. Days can be spent lounging on the sun deck in-between dives, kayaking, snorkeling, and island visits, and unwinding at the end of the day enjoying an incredible sunset, the sea breeze, and a cold beer with your fellow dive buddies.
The Akomo Isseki phinisi visits dive destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda - Ambon crossing. In Komodo, dive at Karang Makassar and get up close with schools of Manta Rays, enjoy a dusk dive at Palau Siaba to watch the beautiful Mandarin fish perform their mating dance ritual, and walk with Dragons on Komodo island. Raja Ampat itineraries are offered from November - April and are a divers' paradise. Home to some of the most bio-diverse diving in the world, marine life encounters can include wobbegong sharks, pygmy seahorses, nudibranch galore, dugong, manta rays, and humpback whales. For the more adventurous, the Spice Island Trail from Ambon to Waisai (or reverse) is not to be missed. This is the chance to dive off the beaten track and explore untouched beauty with the chance to dive with schooling hammerheads.

Great value for the money! The same diving as other boats, but with on-board comforts lacking

Unforgettable experience in a diving paradise
We had such a great time during our liveaboard on Akomo Isseki! Diving in Raja Ampat was a dream coming true. Dives, especially in the southern Misool area, were surreal! Such a great variety of soft/hard corals, abundant marine life, colourful reefs… just insanely beautiful! Big up for the Boo East dive site on which we saw one one dive a combination of oceanic and reef mantas, grey and black tip sharks, sting ray, electric clamp, and schools of Napoleon wrasses, sweetlips and fusiliers ! Like we could not get enough… We felt very safe thanks to our expert dive masters! We never thought we would once see so many pygmy seahorses (such cuties!). The boat crew worked very hard, always with a smile, to make our stay perfect: smooth navigation, tasteful and varied meals, most enjoyable after-dive activities like drinks at sunsets on secluded beaches, stops in fishermen’s villages, and iconic Pianemo viewpoint. As Akomo Isseki only hosts small groups of divers, it was easy to bond with other divers and the atmosphere on the boat was excellent. Big thanks to the whole Akomo Isseki team for an unforgettable stay in a diving paradise!

Already planning a return trip!
The experience was great in all possible ways. The crew was incredibly attentive and kind, the dive guides very knowledgeable (and hilarious) and the cook made some incredible meals (personal highlights were some of the tempeh dishes). Everyone made me feel safe and supported. The quality of the liveaboard is only confirmed by the fantastic people that joined the trip.

A perfect week with beautiful dives and great people!
We encountered everything you can expect to see when diving in Komodo. The crew took good care of us. The whole group was kind and respectful at all times.

Amazing Liveaboard with the best Crew
It was an absolute fantastic week on Akomo Isseki. The boat is perfect, nice comfortable cabins, ideal size for 8 guests. The dive guides were very engaged and showed us the most amazing dive sites and we felt all the time very save. The whole crew was very welcoming and made us smiling every day. The food was excellent with a great variety and many options to choose from.

Dive Eat Repeat
Fantastic Komodo liveaboard experience with the amazing crew and guides of Akomo Isseki. The most delicious homemade balanced meals after every dive (better than my grandma's cooking). Excellent dive guides who brought us to world class dive sites (Batu Bolong and Mawan were the two best dive sites where we saw sooo many amazing animals and coral reefs) Being only 8 gave us a great chance to bond as a small group. Made friends for life, and the other passengers, crew and guides made this such a fun trip with chill vibes. We played volleyball on remote uninhabited islands in between dives, kayaked and even did a karaoke night on the last night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend you to bring your own dive computer and perhaps some reef safe sunscreen, shower gel and shampoo.

Just an amazing Trip!
Crew was extremely welcoming, kind, and took the time to get to know us. By the end of the trip, it felt like family. The boat only fits 8 people, which is the perfect size to get to know everyone on the boat. Divemasters were extremely experienced and knew exactly when to dive and where. They personalized the dives based on our experience levels and made so many accommodations for us so we could see manta rays. Would recommend bringing your own dive computer. The chef fed us like kings with well-balanced indonesian home cooking. What an unforgettable trip!

Great diving adventure and lots of fun.
Divings in the current - in the split: demanding, yet at the same time absolutely safe thanks to the experience of the guides. Great variety of underwater creatures: both big stuff and macro; diversity of hard and soft corals. Stunning topography. 3 land trips (one to the Rinca reserve to see the dragons, one trekking up an island and one sunset on the beach) and many more dives than promised.

- Exceptional, demanding and greatly varied dives. Dives perfectly chosen to fit the underwater conditions and the divers' experience. Simple but very comfortable boat with lots of space for relaxing.
Akomo Isseki is not a luxurious liveaboard, but very traditional and charming in full harmony with the nature of Raja Ampat and most importantly well equipped for pleasant diving.
Diving at Nudi Rock (Misool) - best dive ever! Sunrise and sunset on the sea level from the Akomo Isseki deck - unique natural tranquility. Good atmosphere on board between guests and crew - we laughed a lot and had fun. Great local food prepared in such a small kitchen - impressive and so tasty!

- The Akomo Isseki crew took us to the edge of the civilisation, a stepback in time - in particular when exploring Misool in the South of Rajat Ampat with its fantastic coral reefs and rich marine life. The whole crew was so friendly, professional and always eager to please us - above and under water (big compliment!!!)). In addition to great diving experiences the crew offered special team events, e.g. barbeque evening and volleyball on lonely beaches, kayak and boat trips through the mangroves, hiking to viewing platforms.
