- Traditional hand-crafted Indonesian phinisi
- Crewed by South Sulawesi Bugis sailors
- Selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee
Set sail on an Indonesian adventure aboard the Akomo Isseki liveaboard. A traditional hand-crafted wooden phinisi, she is crewed by the Bugis sailors of South Sulawesi and offers fantastic dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. Four naturally ventilated cabins with twin beds accommodate 8 guests on board. Shared bathrooms feature modern facilities and traditional handicrafts.
Social areas include the communal dining area and a large, partially covered sun deck. Enjoy a selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee. Days can be spent lounging on the sun deck in between dives, kayaking, snorkeling, and island visits, and unwinding at the end of the day, enjoying an incredible sunset, the sea breeze, and a cold beer with your fellow dive buddies.
The Akomo Isseki phinisi visits dive destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda-Ambon crossing. In Komodo, dive at Karang Makassar and get up close with schools of Manta Rays, enjoy a dusk dive at Palau Siaba to watch the beautiful Mandarin fish perform their mating dance ritual, and walk with Dragons on Komodo Island. Raja Ampat itineraries are offered from November to April and are a divers' paradise. Home to some of the most biodiverse diving in the world, marine life encounters can include wobbegong sharks, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs galore, dugongs, manta rays, and humpback whales. For the more adventurous, the Spice Island Trail from Ambon to Waisai (or reverse) is not to be missed. This is the chance to dive off the beaten track and explore untouched beauty, with the chance to dive with schooling hammerheads.

It was my first liveaboard and I was skeptical at first, especially because of the good price offer, but the boat has a very efficient team, the cook chef did every goog menu, all dives were spectacula
What's great is that we always see a different landscape every day with different dive sites that the guides know like the back of their hand. Being grateful and living in the moment is the best thing that can happen.

Super, great value for money..
Keeping in mind this boat has no air conditioning we enjoyed the cabins dorm style with the hatches open and the ventilator providing a gentle breeze I slept well dressed in a very light short and top with no sheet or blanket. When it rained at night the hatches had to be closed. Divesites were nice with a lot of fish and really nice schools on the nothern reefs. Dives have to be timed close to tidal slack or current can be med to strong. Highlite albino manta. We had 3 manta encounter 1 oceanic. 2 reef 1black 1 chevron. 1 albino 5m+.🤩

Akomo Isseki is not a luxurious liveaboard, but very traditional and charming in full harmony with the nature of Raja Ampat and most importantly well equipped for pleasant diving.
Diving at Nudi Rock (Misool) - best dive ever! Sunrise and sunset on the sea level from the Akomo Isseki deck - unique natural tranquility. Good atmosphere on board between guests and crew - we laughed a lot and had fun. Great local food prepared in such a small kitchen - impressive and so tasty!

- The Akomo Isseki crew took us to the edge of the civilisation, a stepback in time - in particular when exploring Misool in the South of Rajat Ampat with its fantastic coral reefs and rich marine life. The whole crew was so friendly, professional and always eager to please us - above and under water (big compliment!!!)). In addition to great diving experiences the crew offered special team events, e.g. barbeque evening and volleyball on lonely beaches, kayak and boat trips through the mangroves, hiking to viewing platforms.

Excellent liveaboard for diving in Komodo
We spent 8 wonderful days of diving in the Komodo archipelago. We were very well received by a top crew. The meals were varied and plentiful. We lacked nothing. Alex is an amazing guide who knows the archipelago like the back of his hand and that's very important here in Komodo. He was very well supported by Faldi. The dives are magnificent and still require a little experience, especially when it comes to managing the currents.

Dive Eat Repeat
Fantastic Komodo liveaboard experience with the amazing crew and guides of Akomo Isseki. The most delicious homemade balanced meals after every dive (better than my grandma's cooking). Excellent dive guides who brought us to world class dive sites (Batu Bolong and Mawan were the two best dive sites where we saw sooo many amazing animals and coral reefs) Being only 8 gave us a great chance to bond as a small group. Made friends for life, and the other passengers, crew and guides made this such a fun trip with chill vibes. We played volleyball on remote uninhabited islands in between dives, kayaked and even did a karaoke night on the last night. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend you to bring your own dive computer and perhaps some reef safe sunscreen, shower gel and shampoo.

Had an amazing 11 days out at sea at Raja Ampat aboard the Akomo Isseki. The diving was the best I've experienced, made even better with the boat crew, divemasters Alex and Ary, and other fellow divers on the boat. Unforgettable memories with amazing people. Will definitely be back for more!
