- Traditional hand-crafted Indonesian phinisi
- Crewed by South Sulawesi Bugis sailors
- Selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee
Set sail on an Indonesian adventure aboard the Akomo Isseki liveaboard. A traditional hand-crafted wooden phinisi, she is crewed by the Bugis sailors of South Sulawesi and offers fantastic dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. Four naturally ventilated cabins with twin beds accommodate 8 guests on board. Shared bathrooms feature modern facilities and traditional handicrafts.
Social areas include the communal dining area and a large, partially covered sun deck. Enjoy a selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee. Days can be spent lounging on the sun deck in between dives, kayaking, snorkeling, and island visits, and unwinding at the end of the day, enjoying an incredible sunset, the sea breeze, and a cold beer with your fellow dive buddies.
The Akomo Isseki phinisi visits dive destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda-Ambon crossing. In Komodo, dive at Karang Makassar and get up close with schools of Manta Rays, enjoy a dusk dive at Palau Siaba to watch the beautiful Mandarin fish perform their mating dance ritual, and walk with Dragons on Komodo Island. Raja Ampat itineraries are offered from November to April and are a divers' paradise. Home to some of the most biodiverse diving in the world, marine life encounters can include wobbegong sharks, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs galore, dugongs, manta rays, and humpback whales. For the more adventurous, the Spice Island Trail from Ambon to Waisai (or reverse) is not to be missed. This is the chance to dive off the beaten track and explore untouched beauty, with the chance to dive with schooling hammerheads.

It couldn't be better.
Very happy with the experience at the Akomo Isseki. Out of ten. The rooms are comfortable and with enough space, you have a fan in each bed and the upper window that sometimes has to be closed (the crew takes care of it) if it rains. sometimes it's hot, it's not a surprise in Raja Ampat, but you can also sleep in the cool on the deck. Great food, Jois and Chandra, kept us well fed with tasty food and snacks between dives and were mindful of food intolerances. The boat overall excellent, simple but lovely, the rest deck to be between dives and meals is enough and very comfortable the seats. There are 2 shower-toilets that are shared but they are more than enough. The crew is also always on the lookout, they are in charge of preparing everything for the dive and always with everything under control (thanks Mathen, Ali, Andarías and Ryan, good job). The dive guides, Alex and Sardin, perfect, knew what they were doing, knew the dive sites and were aware of finding what each one liked. If you're looking for luxuries, it's not your place. If you don't care about that and want to dive and enjoy yourself, then why pay hundreds of euros more? Excellent value for money. About diving, there were spectacular places, we saw many species of fish, sharks, corals... And 4 manta rays together in the same spot, it was magical. We did some diving with strong currents, very fun but you have to be prepared (although the guides help you in everything), in total we did 27 dives although if we had not had to help another boat we would have done 29, top. The diving equipment was fine. There are a couple of kayaks that you can. Use when anchored. We also went ashore 4 times, in the love lagoon, pyanemo, in Fam (we did a brutal night there) and finally a farewell dinner on a desert island. We will repeat with Akomo Isseki and Liquid Adventures (very good previous communication)

Amazing and unforgettable liveaboard.
The week spent onboard the Akomo Isseki has been absolutely fantastic. What I loved the most about this trip were definitely the dive sites and the vibes on the boat. The crew was always smiling and more than happy to help with anything. A special shoutout to Alex and Ono, they have been two fantastic dive guides and I had the pleasure to dive with both of them. I feel so grateful I had to share this experience with my dive buddy Joshua and we are looking forward to join this liveaboard again soon. Thank you!!

Fantastic diving with a warm crew
The trip on the Akomo Isseki was a dream experience for me and my family. You don't have to say many words about diving on Komodo. Fantastic and completely intact coral reefs - hopefully it stays that way!The Akomo Isseki is a very nice wooden boat. But the best thing was definitely the crew, who did everything to make you feel comfortable at all times. From the captain to the bottle filler to the cook, everyone was always in a good mood and made sure that nothing was missing. Respect - it was really fun. The boat is not too big, which quickly led to a very family atmosphere. The opposite of mass processing, The highlight of the ship were definitely the two dive guides Alex and Faldy. Absolutely professional. No matter what current: behind these guys you always felt safe, because you could feel that you know the area like the back of your hand. In addition, the two were really funny, warm and mega sympathetic. I've been diving for 30 years and have rarely seen such cool dive guides. Thank you Alex and Faldy. See you again sometime on the Akomon Isseki in Raja Ampat.

👌
Had an amazing 11 days out at sea at Raja Ampat aboard the Akomo Isseki. The diving was the best I've experienced, made even better with the boat crew, divemasters Alex and Ary, and other fellow divers on the boat. Unforgettable memories with amazing people. Will definitely be back for more!

Loved every bit of the trip
Raja Ampat is just amazing and the diving can be everything from calm and relaxing in colourful colour gardens to watching sharks and rays in ripping currents. The food was very high standard and every meal was different and a lot to choose from. The crew is always smiling, does an incredible job every day and is very welcoming. Cruise Director and dive guides knowledgeable, care a lot for the reef and all the marine life and of course also for the guests. I always felt safe and well briefed and guided. Big thank you for 10 amazing days!

Great diving experience and exceptional quality of service
Terrific diving in Komodo! The guides know the sites inside out and the dives are planned according to the currents and changing conditions. The overall atmosphere on the boat is very relaxed while being very professional. The crew of the boat is super friendly and everything is done so that we make the most of our dives!! I had an amazing week!

Excellent liveaboard for diving in Komodo
We spent 8 wonderful days of diving in the Komodo archipelago. We were very well received by a top crew. The meals were varied and plentiful. We lacked nothing. Alex is an amazing guide who knows the archipelago like the back of his hand and that's very important here in Komodo. He was very well supported by Faldi. The dives are magnificent and still require a little experience, especially when it comes to managing the currents.
