- Traditional hand-crafted Indonesian phinisi
- Crewed by South Sulawesi Bugis sailors
- Selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee
Set sail on an Indonesian adventure aboard the Akomo Isseki liveaboard. A traditional hand-crafted wooden phinisi, she is crewed by the Bugis sailors of South Sulawesi and offers fantastic dive itineraries in Raja Ampat and Komodo National Park. Four naturally ventilated cabins with twin beds accommodate 8 guests on board. Shared bathrooms feature modern facilities and traditional handicrafts.
Social areas include the communal dining area and a large, partially covered sun deck. Enjoy a selection of freshly cooked Indonesian and Western meals, beach BBQs, freshly baked bread, treats, and hot coffee. Days can be spent lounging on the sun deck in between dives, kayaking, snorkeling, and island visits, and unwinding at the end of the day, enjoying an incredible sunset, the sea breeze, and a cold beer with your fellow dive buddies.
The Akomo Isseki phinisi visits dive destinations, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda-Ambon crossing. In Komodo, dive at Karang Makassar and get up close with schools of Manta Rays, enjoy a dusk dive at Palau Siaba to watch the beautiful Mandarin fish perform their mating dance ritual, and walk with Dragons on Komodo Island. Raja Ampat itineraries are offered from November to April and are a divers' paradise. Home to some of the most biodiverse diving in the world, marine life encounters can include wobbegong sharks, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs galore, dugongs, manta rays, and humpback whales. For the more adventurous, the Spice Island Trail from Ambon to Waisai (or reverse) is not to be missed. This is the chance to dive off the beaten track and explore untouched beauty, with the chance to dive with schooling hammerheads.
Whichever itinerary you choose, the passionate dive guides and attentive boat crew will surely deliver an exceptional trip to remember. Book online today.

Fantastic diving and an even better crew
I had some of the best dives thus far aboard the Akomo Isseki. The crew was fantastic from start to finish, and the two dive guides, Alex and Ohno, were both excellent in their own way. Alex was always in a great mood and clearly knew the dive sites and the wider region inside out, while Ohno, though quieter, made me feel completely comfortable and safe underwater. I also really loved the boat itself. It's a traditional wooden Phinisi, and there's something special about that style: full of character, and it just felt right for exploring this part of the world. It's not a luxury yacht, but it didn't need to be. It was comfortable, well kept, and had a real charm to it that a modern boat wouldn't. The rental gear was another pleasant surprise. Everything was in really good condition and well maintained, so I never had to worry about it during the trip. The food deserves a special mention too. It was consistently excellent throughout the trip, easily one of the highlights of the whole experience. I've seen some reviews mention the lack of AC as a downside, but honestly, I'd disagree. For one, it's made clear upfront that the boat doesn't have it, so there's no surprise there. More importantly, I actually appreciated it. It meant the boat stayed completely quiet at night, with no generator noise to deal with. I ended up sleeping out on deck most nights anyway, so the heat was never an issue for me. All in all, a brilliant trip with a crew and dive guides I'd happily sail with again.

Had an amazing 11 days out at sea at Raja Ampat aboard the Akomo Isseki. The diving was the best I've experienced, made even better with the boat crew, divemasters Alex and Ary, and other fellow divers on the boat. Unforgettable memories with amazing people. Will definitely be back for more!

Marine Life Expedition of Eight Young Backpackers
There were 8 guests on board, and except for 2 people, everyone came individually. Since we were all around a similar age, it created a really great atmosphere. Everything was enjoyable, and the trip turned out to be more comfortable than I had expected. Even though 8 of us had to share just 2 bathrooms, it worked out quite smoothly and comfortably. All the meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were truly delicious, and even the snacks were great, which made the whole trip very satisfying.

It was my first liveaboard and I was skeptical at first, especially because of the good price offer, but the boat has a very efficient team, the cook chef did every goog menu, all dives were spectacula
What's great is that we always see a different landscape every day with different dive sites that the guides know like the back of their hand. Being grateful and living in the moment is the best thing that can happen.

Beauty of the reefs and schools of fish
A very beautiful destination that guarantees beautiful dives in the middle of splendid coral reefs. Few large pelagics, except for sublime manta rays, gigantic schools of fish and macro.

Unforgettable
It was the second time we embarked with Liquid Adventures, after a first experience last year in Komodo on the Kira Kira and the Akomo Isseki. This year, we found the Akomo Isseki in Raja Ampat, and once again, we were absolutely not disappointed. The experience was simply exceptional. We particularly appreciate the deliberately limited capacity of the boat, which allows you to fully enjoy the trip and the dives in small groups, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The crew is remarkable: always smiling, extremely jovial, in a communicative good mood in all circumstances, and never the last to party and dance. An amazing atmosphere from start to finish. The food was excellent, varied and very filling. The comfort of the cabins is certainly simple, but more than sufficient, and more than compensated by the quality of the overall experience on board and underwater. We had the pleasure of meeting Alex, our dive guide already met the previous year, always so eccentric and full of energy. We also met Sardin, who is extremely kind. Both are very professional, attentive and attentive. I never felt unsafe underwater, despite the sometimes demanding diving conditions. We are already looking forward to a similar experience again and, without hesitation, we will choose Liquid Adventures again for our next dive cruise in Indonesia.
