Crew Works So Hard to Give Perfect Trip

We had a wonderful time on the Adelaar—the boat, crew, dives, and food were all fantastic. Our Bali to Komodo itinerary got disrupted because of extremely bad (unseasonal) weather that was beyond the control of the boat. The dive masters worked around the clock to find suitable dive sites in the locations were we got stuck because of the storms. They were calling dive shops to find the best locations and spending tons of time to make our trip still memorable, and it was excellent. The food was superb, the outdoor seating area is really nice, and the crew is so friendly. We plan on coming back, and highly recommend the boat!

One of the best journeys I have ever been on!

There is just one word to describe the trip with Adelaar - amazing! Let’s start with the most important one - the people. Each and everyone on the crew has been incredible - helpful, professional, detail-oriented, friendly and reading every wish from the guests’ lips! Thank you! The rooms were cleaned after you returned from breakfast, the gear was always taken care of and in perfect shape, the briefings excellent and fun and the diving, well, you come out with a huge smile after each dive and it is just getting bigger with the next one! Oh, being greeted with fresh juice when you come back on board after the dive or a wet towel after land excursion - yes please! The boat is in a very good shape, you see the value having engineers as per of the crew and the entertainment system in the rooms is state of the art! The food has been not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. This all without being pretentious, we always felt being part of the family on Adelaar which made this journey unique! Thank you again guys for incredible time and best of luck to you!

An Idyllic Dive Experience

The trip was excellent from start to finish. We were picked up on time at the wharf and taken out to the Adelaar schooner sitting at anchor. We met our fellow travellers, a small group of just eight in total, and the dive guides. After a day of cruising eastward in near perfect conditions we started the first of our dives off Pulau Mojo. Over the next 10 days we had 29 great dives (I missed one which would have made 30) including 5 night dives. We dived all around Komodo Island and adjacent islands. We were fortunate that every day was perfect blue skies with surface temperature of around 30 degrees. The water temp varied a little with most around 28 or 29 and a few down to 24 degrees. The food was plentiful and excellent. The dive guides very experienced, knowledgeable and competent. Some great shore excursions including to see to Komodo dragons. On the shores we saw wild Komodo dragons, monkeys, water buffalo and deer. There were also hot water dives off the Sangean volcano. My wife is a snorkeller, not a diver, and she had ample opportunity, along with other guests, to have some wonderful quality swims on beautiful reefs. A highly recommended experience with something for everyone, both diver and non diver.

Great trip but only if you can meet other guests with same level diving experience, otherwise they have to choose some dive site for low level then you will miss some best dive site.

Really fantastic - a once in a lifetime trip!

Really, really good. The itinerary was wonderful and the crew adaptable enough that if one place didn't suit, they would make alternative plans. The diving was totally spectacular and tailored to our requirements and shore visits an option and very good. The crew were professional, couldn't do enough for us and were so nice (and with a good sense of humour!). The ship was fabulous and in immaculate condition (we were given an upgraded cabin which was very nice indeed, but the other cabins looked good too). Thoroughly recommended.
