The best of Galapagos on a humble cruise

Simple cruise but with everything you need to enjoy a life on board. We had a great time and learned a lot thanks to the good guides who were Santiago and Joel.

Amazing week with Danubio Azul:)

I had such a wonderful time on Danubio Azul! The staff was amazing. They were patient, helpful, attentive, kind, and always had a smile on their face. They seemed to really enjoy their time onboard. The chef was so accommodating to dietary restrictions. The dive guides were very patient and knowledgeable. I met some lovely people and had an amazing week!

Awesome diving with great guides/crew, but some issues with the boat and equipment

Overall a decent trip, though there is a reason this ship is cheaper than most others. The diving and dive guides were excellent, the crew were very nice (though spoke very little English), and the quality of the food was surprisingly better than we were expecting. However, the boat was a bit small and the room we were in (a double room with two beds) was pretty cramped, with very little storage space. In the last few days, there was a brown liquid that started dripping from the ceiling and walls onto my bed, which was a disconcerting. The most significant issue was with the equipment though. While I expect at least some problems with equipment here and there, there were several failures that were critical safety issues. For example, one diver's pressure gauge was stuck showing full, even though the tank was empty; another diver's regulator failed during the dive, requiring him to use the guide's octopus. Even though they fixed everything quickly, it was still anxiety provoking.
