Highlights
The M/Y Aqua liveaboard in the Galapagos offers the choice of 7-night diving itineraries or 3, 4 or 5-night naturalist itineraries. Nine cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 16 guests onboard and a choice of twin or matrimonial bedding. Each room features a private en-suite bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, and storage space. Main and upper deck cabins also have picture windows to offer sea views. Social areas dotted around the yacht include a shaded outside lounge, sun deck, indoor lounge, and library and dining area. The cuisine served on board combines local Ecuadorian and international cuisine.
A wide range of activities is included in all itineraries, giving guests a chance to get up close and experience the unique wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. Naturalist cruises include guided hikes, bird-watching, and incredible photography opportunities. Divers will be blown away by the amazing marine biodiversity, with the chance to see whale sharks, schooling hammerheads, and even Mola Mola. A spacious dive deck has plenty of room for kitting up and gear storage. Two diving tenders make diving from the MY Aqua a comfortable experience, and enriched air nitrox is available for those certified. Divers will also receive a personal marine rescue GPS, a storm whistle, a diving beacon, and a surface marker tube for added safety and peace of mind.
Note: 50 logged dives is the minimum required experience for the Aqua, due to the more advanced conditions of certain dive sites.

Unforgettable liveaboard thanks to crew and guides
Overall, our liveaboard liveaboard in the Galapagos Islands was a great and highly recommended experience, despite some initial difficulties. On the first day, unfortunately, there was not enough diving equipment for all guests, which caused some stress at the beginning. In addition, the communication on the part of the provider in advance and at this point in time was not optimal. However, we would like to emphasize that the dive guides and the entire crew were not to blame for this. On the contrary, they reacted extremely professionally, calmly and solution-oriented. The guides even went ashore again and organized the missing equipment, which solved the situation quickly and in the best possible way.On board we felt very comfortable and well looked after the entire time. The crew was attentive, helpful and always eager to provide a great experience for the guests. The dives themselves were absolutely fantastic – spectacular underwater world, very well organized procedures and competent guides who went out of their way to introduce us to the special features of the Galapagos. The briefings were clear, detailed and very informative.Contrary to what is stated in the itinerary, no night dives were offered. As a result, the days were quite tightly scheduled, with little break between the individual dives. The whole group dived with Nitrox, which supported the intensive dive planning well. The boat has a sun deck with beanbags and loungers, but this can hardly be used sensibly, as the sun is extremely strong and there is unfortunately no shade there.Despite the points mentioned, the positive impressions clearly outweigh the negatives. Overall, it was an incredible liveaboard with world-class dives, a great crew and unforgettable experiences. Highly recommended!

Crew and diving Spectacular and incredible. 100% recommended.
Extraordinary experience, highly recommended. The boat was great, the crew very aware of everything. The dive guides are very prepared, friendly and very helpful. The food on the boat was delicious, all homemade and served deliciously. My girlfriend is celiac, and they prepared gluten-free food for her every day. The service with liveaboard.com also great, very dynamic and agile and an extraordinary service.

EPIC!!!
This is my 6th liveaboard trip and I have to say the crew and service when above and beyond! The staff was always present to help get in and out of our gear. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day. Warm clean towels were provided after EVERY dive, and the water was piping hot the second you turned on the shower. The food was delicious and our DM's Jesus and Christian were attentive and wonderful. Christian who is a naturalist also knew when and where to see the pelagics. I was also happy to see that most guests were aged 20-40 yrs old on this trip! Thank you, Aqua for an amazing experience!!!

Beautiful Marine Life in a special high value liveaboard
We experienced for the first time the awe-inspiring underwater terrain of the Galapagos. We got to see whale sharks, mantas, mola mola, more hammerheads than we could count, marine iguanas and sea lions. We went as a group of seven friends and enjoyed the dives and crew immensely. They were organized and professional. All gear was available and setup for you. We used two inflatables to get our different divers out to the sites, and did up your four dives a day. It was just an awesome value for the price. No need to go on more expensive liveaboard... the marine life, crew experience are the same. Give Aqua a try! Will go again.

NO NEED TO KEEP SEARCHING - BOOK THE AQUA!
We looked at ALOT of Liveaboard options, but the Aqua is seriously all you need! Do NOT waste money on those more expensive liveaboards - the crew were absolutely fantastic and helped with literally everything: our luggage, donning our gear, refilling our tanks, having hot beverages and a warm snack after every dive, and OH MY GOSH the food. The food was incredible and there was something different every single day at every single meal. Prepare to gain weight on this trip because they feed you! The dive guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the dive sites, the animals, the history - just everything. I honestly feel like we got off cheap for the value you get on this particular ship! Ship name is registered as the Pinguino Explorer but is now called the AQUA. We went January 3-January 10 of 2023 and I wore a 5mm wetsuit and was comfortable. My husband wore 4/3 wetsuit for most of the dives but switched to a 7mm wetsuit for one day that was chilly. One thing to note that I didn’t realize is you have to have gloves to dive in the Galapagos. Thank goodness the crew had extra for us to rent, but I know this isn’t always the case - so just be forewarned about that part! We cannot wait to have this experience again and would absolutely book the Aqua again! Gracias por todos!!!

Amazing week in divers’ paradise
Had an amazing week of wonder and awe as we discovered a wide variety of Galapagos underwater landscapes and wildlife, from large schools of hammerheads and whale sharks to Galapagos seahorses and red-lipped bat fish. Life onboard the Aqua was a dream: excellent service for an effortless week, with daily cleaned cabins and fresh treats welcoming us after each excursion. Put on your wetsuit and dive is the key word there !

Epic.
The staff and service was amazing. Very friendly and helped with gearing up and down. Food was delicious, freshly made, and each meal had a variety of options plus they accommodated all food diets. Diving was awesome. Whale sharks, sea lions, Marine Iguanas, hundreds of hammerheads. We did an impromptu snorkeling with pilot whales and dolphins.
