Could not have had a better experience for my first liveaboard experience
Everything about the Discovery II was terrific. The cabins were clean and comfortable, boat was spacious with plenty of room to relax in post-dives, crew was AMAZING and extremely helpful, gear was in perfect shape, food was varied and delicious, and so much more. I highly recommend it.

Great for beginners, but disapointing for experienced divers, compelled to guided short and shallow dives

All in all it was an amazing week with amazing people.

Fantastic experience
I had a fantastisch week on board the discovery. We made a lot of nice dives (elphinstone-daedalus-brothers) and the crew was very helpfull en kind. We didn’t see the big Fish (longimanus shark) but that is the risk of diving but does not affect the trip.

I'll definitely come again (when new mattresses are provided).
Thresher sharks, manta, giant murray eels, enormous eagle ray, a lot of blue spotted stingrays, Napoleons, tunas, a turtle, ... and the (still) very rich reef life with thousands of all kinds of exotic fishes. And: our dive guides always looking out for oceanic white tips and hammerheads which they couldn't find, unfortunately. Of course: because we were out of season (which is Oct.-Nov.) but then: you never know 😉.

Super attentative crew
The Thistlegorm wreck-dive. The guides picked our divetime based on the boats around us, so we ended up with the wreck to ourselves.

kind crew, stunning reefs and super atmosphere
My trip was just perfect, the crew was constantly trying to help us divers and the diving was amazing. Our dive guides were good. I was extremely lucky with the group, there were people from many different counties and everyone was very nice. The food was very good for the circumstances. Unfortunately we had to skip the Elphinstone reef due to the rough weather conditions, so I can not rate this reef. But The Brothers and Daedalus were just insane. The corals were healthy and the pelagic encounters simply incredible. I would do this trip again at any time.
