Join the Discovery II liveaboard for a dive trip to remember in the Red Sea. Completely renovated in 2018, she offers bright, modern living space for up to 22 divers in 11 cabins. There are 6 standard cabins with twin side-by-side beds on the lower deck along with 1 Honeymoon Suite, and a further 4 Honeymoon Suites are on the upper deck. All cabins feature ensuite bathrooms, AC, and storage space, and the Honeymoon Suites are also fitted with a minibar, entertainment system, and large beds. On the main are an airconditioned bright and modern dining room and salon. The upper deck is home to the outdoor lounge and bar area, the perfect place to mingle and swap fish tales at the end of the day. The top deck has a large partially shaded sun deck with loungers.
Itineraries aboard the Discovery II are generally 7 nights, and visit the best dive areas in Egypt. Red Sea diving is available year-round, and dive areas visited include the Straits of Tiran, Brothers, Ras Mohammed, Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas, Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone. The large dive deck at the back of the boat make gearing up easy, and 2 dive tenders are on hand for dive site drop off and pick up. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

Good value for money, but February is not the best month to go
We really enjoyed our time onboard and the diving. Overall was good and when we are in the water we are happy. Food was good as always and crew was very helpfull and nice. The downsides: We chose this Liveaboard for the itinerary combining brothers and north, but unfortunately the weather was not suitable for brothers. It seemed a bit like it was very likely brothers would not be possible in February so we might as well have chosen any other Liveaboard. Water was cold (23'C) , which was fine with us, but many others struggled with the cold including the dive guides, who didn't seem super kean on getting in the water. Also, Discovery has a policy of maximum dive time of 60 mins (45 mins for night dive) which we would have preferred longer - especially when we had dives unguided.

Varied diving experiences with super delicious food
It was my first liveaboard and was totally thrilled, nothing was missing, the food alone was mega. You get your money's worth from all the dive spots, the highlight of my trip was the Thistlegorm for which I actually decided on this route.

Gladly again!
The crew was super helpful, everything was very well thought out and clean. I liked the dive spots and were well chosen - despite spontaneous rescheduling due to strong waves. The food that was conjured up in the small kitchen was amazing! The pricing or payment for all additional services could be even more transparent.

Excellent itinerary with efficient and friendly guides and crew
Highly recommended itinerary and excellent dive boat. The crew managed to get us 19 dives despite some challenging weather conditions and very busy dive sites. Food was excellent and the staff very helpful with all aspects of the trip. Will definitely book again with the Discovery vessels.

Experienced guides, excellent food and spacious boat
The highlights are experienced and safety-savvy dive guides, but also very caring and flexible to address individual needs. The food was delicious and plentiful. Last evening we had a choice of eating out in a restaurant in Hurghada, but I was sure our cheff will beat the restaurant :) Very well organised daily routine, well prepared boat with facilities making everybody comfortable and safe. Very much recommended!

North Wrecks Liveboard Egypt
Our ship Discovery II on which we spent an unforgettable week was clean, our upper cabins were cozy, the ship's crew took exemplary care of us and always prepared a good meal for us every day after our dives. The wrecks of the SS Thistlegorm, Dunraven and of course the underwater life were beautiful, we also enjoyed the night dives very much. Thank you to our dive guides and all the crew of the ship. We are starting to plan our next liveaboard - Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone

Incredible first liveaboard experience
1. Completed advanced open water and nitrox training while diving alongside far more experienced divers on board, we felt totally safe and at ease with our dive guide 2. Diving in the red sea is an incredible experience with so much to see and lots of variety across the 5 days 3. Boat was very clean, comfortable and crew were fantastic incl. great food and accommodating chef
