A very successful diving safari
A well-planned and executed safari. The brave and cohesive crew performed under the most extreme circumstances, including a sudden storm at night, as well as under normal conditions before, during, and after the dives.

Deep South - Elba and St John
I recently did the Deep South itinerary on the Aggressor V, and overall, it was a very good trip. The boat itself is excellent – modern, clean, and comfortable. Cabins and amenities are top-notch, and the crew really made the experience stand out. They were professional, warm, and went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. The food was another highlight – consistently fresh, varied, and delicious. That said, getting there takes some effort. It’s about a 7-hour ride from Hurghada to Hamata port. The port itself is pretty bleak – a dilapidated pier with nothing around, and Aggressor seemed to be one of the very few boats operating from there. As for the diving, the Deep South is peaceful and quiet compared to the busier northern Red Sea. The reefs are less touched and less polluted, which is refreshing. I did see some sharks, though no mantas or whale sharks. The coral and marine life were nice, but nothing mind-blowing or dramatically different. St. John’s reefs were probably the most interesting and memorable of the itinerary. Overall, the Aggressor V itself and especially the crew made the trip a great experience. The Deep South offered a more serene, off-the-beaten-path feel, but if you’re expecting big-ticket sightings or world-class reefs, it may not quite live up to that. Still, for a well-run liveaboard with outstanding hospitality, this was a solid choice.

Amazing week - Rocky & Zabargad
We spent two consecutive weeks aboard the Aggressor V. As this was not our first liveaboard experience, I believe I can offer a balanced and objective perspective on the overall experience. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the dining room crew for their attentiveness and professionalism. My thanks also go to the captain for the skillful management of the vessel, as well as to the seamen and our guides, who contributed to an enjoyable trip overall. A special mention to the chefs, who were outstanding and prepared delicious meals and desserts every day. That said, there are a few areas we feel warrant improvement: Post-Dive Organization: Drinks and towels were occasionally missing after dives, which was particularly inconvenient following night dives or in windy conditions. Briefings: Briefings often started late, as ringing the bell alone was insufficient to gather everyone promptly. Waiting approximately ten minutes to begin was somewhat frustrating. Information on Currents: During briefings, details about currents were not always precise, which is essential for planning safe and enjoyable dives. Group Size: On several occasions, guided groups exceeded eight people, which is especially problematic during night dives when visibility and coordination are more challenging. Final Payment Procedure: The manner in which the final payment was handled felt awkward. We were required to declare and write down the amount of gratuity we intended to give, which came across as rather forceful. On other vessels, tips are provided anonymously, which feels more appropriate. Passport Security: On the first day, passports were left in an area accessible to anyone, which raises security concerns. At the very least, they should have been stored securely overnight. Overall, we had a positive experience, but addressing these points would significantly enhance the professionalism and comfort of future trips.
