Join the Discovery II liveaboard for a dive trip to remember in the Red Sea. Completely renovated in 2018, she offers bright, modern living space for up to 22 divers in 11 cabins. There are 6 standard cabins with twin side-by-side beds on the lower deck along with 1 Honeymoon Suite, and a further 4 Honeymoon Suites are on the upper deck. All cabins feature ensuite bathrooms, AC, and storage space, and the Honeymoon Suites are also fitted with a minibar, entertainment system, and large beds. On the main are an airconditioned bright and modern dining room and salon. The upper deck is home to the outdoor lounge and bar area, the perfect place to mingle and swap fish tales at the end of the day. The top deck has a large partially shaded sun deck with loungers.
Itineraries aboard the Discovery II are generally 7 nights, and visit the best dive areas in Egypt. Red Sea diving is available year-round, and dive areas visited include the Straits of Tiran, Brothers, Ras Mohammed, Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas, Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone. The large dive deck at the back of the boat make gearing up easy, and 2 dive tenders are on hand for dive site drop off and pick up. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

Awesome dive trip - North wrecks, Ras Mohamed, Tiran and Safaga
I've enjoyed every dive. I felt safe and enjoyed the option to dive unguided in buddy pairs on some of the dive sites. It was nice to dive at a slow pace to be able to explore and have the time to check out the behaviors of the sea live without rushing. All the wreck dives were amazing. The boat crew and dive guides were always friendly, listened and attended to everyone and provided assistance where necessary or when required. It was an amazing and most enjoyable trip with Discovery II.

Must experience this one!
Diving was wonderful! Divemasters were friendly, helpful ,and very knowledgeable. Crew was superb, not only in ship-handling, but in assistance with the dives. The cook and steward were outstanding, with excellent food and wonderful service.

Liveaboard with repeat needs
The liveaboard was very good, the dive sites well chosen. The crew of the boat provided an all-round carefree package and was always in a good mood and helpful. Since the route is called North Wrecks, I would have expected a few more wrecks. We visited the Giannis D and the Thistlegorm. However, the other dive sites were also very nice, especially Brothers Islands.

As my first ever Liveaboard this one totally exceeded all expectations! The crew was always ready to help you with your equipment and your air was filled before you knew it. The food was amazing with lots of choice and the huts were already cleaned when you returned from your first dive of the day. Although, what you see while diving depends on wildlife, we saw so many amazing animals and the wrecks were also really great to dive through. All dive guides made you feel safe while doing the dives, even the ones you are nervous about. Thanks to all of you for this amazing time on board of Discovery II!

Could not have had a better experience for my first liveaboard experience
Everything about the Discovery II was terrific. The cabins were clean and comfortable, boat was spacious with plenty of room to relax in post-dives, crew was AMAZING and extremely helpful, gear was in perfect shape, food was varied and delicious, and so much more. I highly recommend it.

Great diving trip
I had a great week aboard the Discovery II. I highly recommend the northern route (North Wrecks, Ras Mohamed, Tiran, Brothers, Safaga (Hurghada - Hurghada)) if you want to see shipwrecks and beautiful coral reefs. The dive sites are definitely worth it! The boat was comfortable, the meals good and plentiful, and the staff attentive. Special mention to Ahmed who was really at the top!The only downside is that there are not enough dive guides on board, and for about half of the dives, only one of the two guides accompanied us. We then had the choice to dive with the guide but in a large group, or to dive independently without a guide. I found this operation to be a bit disappointing and I think it would be better to have 3 guides on board on this 22 passenger boat.

This liveaboard exceeded our expectations. It was our first one and we were very impressed by the friendly guides and crew plus excellent safety standards. We saw some beautiful sea life including mantas and hammerheads. Overall, 10/10.
