Join the Discovery II liveaboard for a dive trip to remember in the Red Sea. Completely renovated in 2018, she offers bright, modern living space for up to 22 divers in 11 cabins. There are 6 standard cabins with twin side-by-side beds on the lower deck along with 1 Honeymoon Suite, and a further 4 Honeymoon Suites are on the upper deck. All cabins feature ensuite bathrooms, AC, and storage space, and the Honeymoon Suites are also fitted with a minibar, entertainment system, and large beds. On the main are an airconditioned bright and modern dining room and salon. The upper deck is home to the outdoor lounge and bar area, the perfect place to mingle and swap fish tales at the end of the day. The top deck has a large partially shaded sun deck with loungers.

Itineraries aboard the Discovery II are generally 7 nights, and visit the best dive areas in Egypt. Red Sea diving is available year-round, and dive areas visited include the Straits of Tiran, Brothers, Ras Mohammed, Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas, Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone. The large dive deck at the back of the boat make gearing up easy, and 2 dive tenders are on hand for dive site drop off and pick up. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

As my first ever Liveaboard this one totally exceeded all expectations! The crew was always ready to help you with your equipment and your air was filled before you knew it. The food was amazing with lots of choice and the huts were already cleaned when you returned from your first dive of the day. Although, what you see while diving depends on wildlife, we saw so many amazing animals and the wrecks were also really great to dive through. All dive guides made you feel safe while doing the dives, even the ones you are nervous about. Thanks to all of you for this amazing time on board of Discovery II!

My first liveaboard experience
My first liveaboard experience and I liked it. Our diveguides Abdu and Khalid and the crews were very attentive and caring. I liked the relaxed but efficient organization for each daily dive schedules. The weather was nice, but it was still cold underwater with a 5 mm wetsuit. Enough shaded areas on the boat and good to have hot shower after each dive. The diving was easy overall with a good mix of the blue and the corals. Sometimes, I expericed some sea sickness, but a medication helped. We also had a chance to snorkel once and a few chances for unguided dives, and a night dive, which was unexpected but nice to have one. The dive sites were sometimes quite crowded. Overall, we made lasting memories. Thanks all.

Great trip, really recommended
All the crew was very nice and always ready to help. The schedule was very balanced allowing us to enjoy diving as well as having rest on the sundeck. The food was great and the cook did great job to serve variety of dishes. Thanks to guides we could enjoy great dives with sharks and we had option to dive alone whenever it was possible. Always felt safe and could relay on them. Really recommended for everyone who wants to see underwater wonders of red see :)

Just what we hoped for!
Meeting that elusive Thresher Shark on the Brothers. Getting a welcome from the school at Dolphins' House. Flying over the pristine hard coral reefs bursting with life of all sorts.

The Brothers' Reef is as beautiful as ever. The big one (hammerhead and manta on Deadalus and Elphinstone is very random..... there were a lot of boats! Probably + 200 divers)

Could not fault Discovery liveaboards in fact I booked another trip as soon as me and my partner arrived home . Guides , boat crew , chef all excellent and made you feel very welcome . Highlights always going to be the wreck Thistlegorm which we where so lucky to be diving alone on one of our afternoon dives at the site , so surreal !! And a 20 minute diving encounter with a dolphin . All in all highly recommend

Great experience, I would love to come back.
I did the south route for a week.The guides and the whole crew were super friendly and helpful. The water was warmer than usual in August, which is why we unfortunately had no shark luck, but still the diving was very nice, the places well chosen and a lot to see. There were two guides for 20 people, where you often had the opportunity to go out in the buddy team and the people were well distributed under water. The safety of the divers and on board was also important to the team and I felt very comfortable. Thank you for the great experience!

The boat is good, the rooms are quite small but it fits well. The big negatives are:- 2 guides for 22 divers- The guides stress quite a bit and a guide never smiles and is uncourteous (Mohammed) - Forced to put an 80 euro Tips- As soon as the Tips are given no more service, cold food no more attention to us- Small diving preparation areaThe positive points:- Clean boat- Captain of the boat sails well is sailed in the way of people who are seasick- Equipment in good condition - Boat big enough no feeling of being crammed

Awesome week on Samira
We were lucky enough to have the entire boat for a group of 8 only which made it extra nice. Diving was good and Ahmed was a great guide with perfect sense of humor. Crew on dive deck were super helpful always helping with the gear and wetsuits. Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We also got to do few unguided dives which was a great experience! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to dive in Red Sea. Thank you
