Highlights
The M/Y Al Farouk Omar offers budget diving safaris in the Red Sea, Egypt. Explore the north, including the SS Thistlegorm and Ras Mohammed, the Brothers Islands, Daedalus, and Elphinstone, or a combination thereof. Topside, the MY Al Farouk Omar liveaboard caters to 24 divers in 12 twin cabins. Cabins are spread out over 3 decks; each is air-conditioned with a private en-suite bathroom. Social areas include an indoor lounge with AC and TV, a DVD player and music system, a dining room, and a bar. Freshly prepared meals mix international and local cuisine and are served buffet style. The sun deck offers a great place to relax and unwind at the end of the day or chill out in between dives.

Really excellent diving
So many Longimanus sharks! The boat is well run and they provide a very smooth experience.

We did not travel on the Al Farouk because we were transferred to another boat at the last minute without being informed beforehand. The new boat was called My Orion.
We were lucky enough to dive with a group of over 20 dolphins. We had a great time with the crew.

À faire et à refaire !
Nous avons eu la chance de croiser des dauphins dans le bleu à brothers. Beaucoup de longimanus ainsi que des requins marteaux, requins renard et requins gris de récifs. Abondance des coraux et des petits poissons de récifs. Tout ce qui nous a manqué cest la macro mais en même temps la croisiere BDE cest le gros et a ce niveau là on a été servis ! 1 plongée de nuit assez belle (danseuses espagnoles, raie torpille et beaucoup de vie en general). Et encore une fois un staff tres gentil et a l'écoute qui se plie en quatre pour passer une super croisiere.

To be done and redone!
We were lucky enough to come across dolphins in the blue at brothers.Lots of longimanus as well as hammerhead sharks, thresher sharks and grey reef sharks.Abundance of corals and small reef fish.All we lacked was the macro but at the same time the BDE cruise is the big one and at this level we were served! 1 quite nice night dive (Spanish dancers, torpedo ray and a lot of life in general). And once again a very nice and attentive staff who bend over backwards to have a great cruise.

A cruise where we were unlucky in the water but we were accompanied by a fantastic crew
We spent pleasant moments all together, several encounters with oceanic sharks, personally I loved anemona point in Daedalus where we could see dozens of clownfish. The BBQ evening at Elfinstone was a great time with everyone as well

Expectations well met!
Actually seeing every shark you could expect to see and more; drinking and chatting with people from all over the world and be surprised for dinner with fresh caught fish.
