She is an incredibly stable and robust vessel and also has 'zero speed stabilisers' which are lowered into the water when she is moored to give added stability, making the M/V Sea Hunter an ideal choice for diving in Costa Rica. She has 8 standard cabins located on the lower deck with the choice of twin or double beds, which are air-conditioned, carpeted throughout and come with en-suite bathrooms. On the upper deck are 2 double suites with panoramic views, en-suite bathrooms, AC, carpet and each suite has hand-painted artwork by Carlos Hiller on the walls.

Sharks, Sharks, & more Sharks 🦈

Had a wonderful time on the Undersea Hunter. Best diving experience of my life. Saw Galapagos, Silky, Blacktip, Whitetip, tiger, and whale sharks. Our guides were extremely observant and attuned to what was in the water around us. I felt safe on every dive. The food was the freshest I’ve had on a liveaboard. 2 pillows per person was a nice touch. The only thing I would bring is an extra towel (towels in the cabins don’t dry quickly, but it was also used 2-3x a day). They also provide towels on deck and dry them in between dives for you. It was such an excellent trip and well worth the cost.

The best trip for me on planet earth.

Schools of hammerheads; all the different rays: manta, mobula, bat and marble; jack school; a trip in the submersible to 1000’ but also, all of the other fish, big and small…I loved them all.

Incredible diving, fantastic crew and fellow divers.

Shark Heaven off Cocos

Every dive was very good, but the first dive we saw the Whale Shark. On several of the dives, the Barber fish cleaning stations were so active it was a constant flow of hammerheads.

Recommended for
The dive panga crew was excellent - Roberto, Juan Manuel and Balin are some of the best we have dove with. Great shark experience; whale shark, lots of hammerheads and white tips, silkies, Galapagos and oceanic blackcaps.
