The Okeanos Aggressor I liveaboard schedules year-round trips to Cocos Island, one of the worlds’ top diving destinations. Diving in Costa Rica means the chance to get up close with schooling hammerheads, mantas, whale sharks, tiger sharks, white tip reef sharks, rays, turtles and huge schools of fish. There is a 36-hour crossing to Cocos Island, but divers will be rewarded with incredible diving and big-fish action and up to 24 dives on the 10-night trip are available. The dive deck is spacious and allows ample room for kitting up, personal gear storage and camera equipment. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

The Okeanos Aggressor I liveaboard offers comfortable lodgings for 22 guests in `4 deluxe cabins, 2 twin cabins and 1 quad cabin located on the lower deck, and 3 deluxe cabins located on the upper deck. Each stateroom is en-suite with individually controlled AC, TV and media player and ample storage space. Meals are served in the large dining room and consist of a variety of freshly prepared cuisine of local flavours, American and BBQ. There is also a large salon with an entertainment system, complete photo centre and library, and on the sun deck are comfortable loungers, deck chairs, bar and grill. The crew was super friendly and helpful. Everyday fresh and super delicious food. The dive sites were selected by the national park, therefore it can happen that you dive several times at the same site but no dive is like another. The dive guides were experienced and taking care of the divers very well.

magical diving in Cocos island
My reason to go to Cocos island was to see sharks. I saw a lot of them, mainly hammerhead sharks, whittip sharks and some tiger sharks. The hole experience was amazing. Thanks to the chef who prepared delicious food every day.

Incredible experience only matched by the incredible staff on board.
Seeing the hammerheads up close, a whale shark and swimming with the dolphins. The vibe was super positive with the staff and other guests on the trip so not a bad way to spend 10 days stuck on a boat together.

A unique diving experince
Definitely our encounter with the dolphins, I've seen dolphins during dives before but they've never sticked around this long or come up this close before, it was amazing! Such beautiful and intelligent beings:D The big schools of hammerheads were really cool too!

Less hammerheads, great service
It was January so we didn’t see large schools of hammerheads but we did see plenty of them, and tigers and even mantas and silver tips. Food was excellent and the level of service on the boat and when diving was fantastic. All the staff were great. Dived a variety of sites. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Diving wirh the sharks was one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of my life.
Diving with the hammerheads, white tips, and rays. Being in the ocean experiencing and being part of the ecosystem. And feeling safe thanks to Warren and the other dive masters. Also seeing the dolphins surrounding the panga on one of the dives. The food and service was excellent. Muchas Gracias!

Top notch in every aspect!
The diving was incredible- hammers on every dive (and whitetips, blacktips, Galapagos, silvertips), lots of rays, schools of jacks/snapper/grunts, frog fish, flounder, lobster, and hundreds of other types of fish. Swimming under waterfalls our playing soccer on the beach between dives...all in paradise. I can't wait to go back!

I have been on a number of liveaboards and the Okeanos/Cocos was #1 in both the diving and the staff. We were seriously well taken care of- friendly staff, consistently excellent food, efficiently managed dives,, and oh my, what dives! Healthy reefs teaming with life on all scales, all in the midst spectacularly beautiful location!

Pretty good, but not as good as expected
Giant mantas, getting pretty close to several sharks and to dolphins. The desserts were great, and the food was pretty good. The service was good and the divemasters were pretty good, but we saw way fewer sharks than expected. On some dives we didn't really see any (besides white tips), and on many dives we were lucky to see one or two. Still, if it weren't for the high expectations, I would say it was great.

Unbelievable trip best staff I've ever experienced diving both live aboard and land based.
Where would one begin? My first whale shark in 30 years of diving, or maybe the dive where simultaneously we had a huge Manta ray two hammer heads three Galapagos Sharks a Large Tiger shark and a two hundred pound Tuna rolls through. Every meal was a highlight as was the entire staff perfect organization. Without question the best live aboard ive done. That starts at the top nice reflection on the Captain.

Great diving and great service!
The diving is just great! We made 21 dives, hammerheads on all of them. Many other type of sharks and much more fish life than I expected. The crew was fantastic. They were very helpful and friendly! And the food was excellent, probably the best chef in all Costa Rica!

Die Fahrt, das Meer, die Korallen & neben allerlei Haien auch der eine Manta und die eine Schildkröte. Wasserfalltour mit Neopren. In dieser Umfrage fehlt ein Verbesserungs- bzw. Kritikfeld: Der von mir im Vorfeld erfragte Handyempfang auf Cocos ist nur in einer Bucht möglich (immerhin). Über Roaming ging dort das Heimnetz. Lokale Simkarten (Klaro, Movimento z.B.) sind ausgeschlossen, nur Kölbi (ICE) funktioniert. Diese Info hätte ich gerne im Vorfeld gewusst & entsprechend die richtige lokale Simkarte besorgt. Das Erlebnis getrübt wurde dadurch allerdings nicht.

The ride, the sea, the corals & in addition to all kinds of sharks also the one manta ray and the one turtle. Waterfall tour with neoprene.In this survey, one area for improvement or criticism is missing:The mobile phone reception on Cocos that I asked for in advance is only possible in one bay (at least). The home network went there via roaming. Local SIM cards (Klaro, Movimento e.g.) are excluded, only Kölbi (ICE) works.I would have liked to know this information in advance & get the right local sim card accordingly.However, this did not tarnish the experience.
