Highlights
The Okeanos Aggressor II liveaboard was built for comfort and stability to offer year-round diving at the remote islands of Costa Rica. The yacht provides comfortable accommodation for 24 guests in 12 en-suite cabins. Eight deluxe staterooms are located on the lower deck, and there is a double lower bed and twin upper bunk-style bed. On the main deck is the master stateroom with a queen bed, and on the upper deck are two suites that have either two twin beds or one king bed.
On the main deck is the ship's restaurant, where delicious cuisine with a varied and plentiful menu is served. Breakfast and lunches are buffet-style, and dinner is chef-prepared and served each evening. On the top deck is the BBQ and shaded cocktail bar, perfect for unwinding with fellow guests to discuss the spectacular diving of the day. Here, you can also find comfortable loungers to do some tanning in between dives.
The Okeanos II liveaboard departs from Puntarenas, Costa Rica for the 36-hour crossing to Costa Rica. Guests can enjoy up to 21 dives at the UNESCO World Heritage site for the chance of big fish encounters like nowhere else. Aside from the incredible diving, guests will also be taken ashore to hike through the jungles of Cocos and swim in the many waterfalls.

Big animal life not as abundant as expected/anticipated
Overall, boat, food and crew were great. White tip sharks abundant, other shark life averaged 1 or 2 per dive, with Galapagos, black tip, hammerhead and tiger sharks. Limited sites around Cocos. Crossings were better than expected. Water was very warm, 3mm wetsuit fine, but probably why the bigger life was limited, El Niño conditions?

A great adventure
The crossing was very pleasant due to the weak sea. Divespots met expectations. A lot of hammerhead and Galapagos sharks, manta rays.

A journey through time and space
The trip to Cocos Island in Costa Rica aboard the Okeanos Aggressor II was unforgettable. With a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable crew of the operation, we were able to visit this magical destination that transports one in time and space. On the trip we shared with people from several countries around the world in a very pleasant atmosphere, being able to visit fantastic diving spots where we saw multiple species of pelagic animals from the Pacific Ocean.

Enchanting island teeming with under the sea life...amazing!
Seeing a Manta Ray, hammerheads, marble rays, spotted eagle rays, a Galapagos shark and the whale shark on Easter morning first dive of the day with dolphins playing in the water when we boarded the panga. Yes, all of this on one dive...spectacular!

Once in a lifetime experience - just amazingly wonderful COCOS ISLAND !
Best diving with hundreds of hammerhead sharks, groups of Galapagos sharks, many white tips, some black tips, eagle and marble rays and an unlimited number of tropical fish. Many different dive sites, some with quite a bit of current. The climb of Cerro Iglesias was also a highlight of my trip to Cocos Island. Okeanos Aggressor II boat was very convenient, great food and an incredibly nice crew.

Great option for cocos!
The crew was very friendly and accommodating, food was excellent. Dives were safe and enjoyable. This is a great option to see cocos and more budget friendly than the alternatives.

Fantastic trip. Highly recommended.
Going in April you get benefit of better conditions, warmer water, calmer crossing and less current. This comes with the trade off of less big groups of pelagics. That said we had plenty of great encounters with hammerheads, galapogas, silky, black tips, dolphins, eagles and Mantas. They were almost all lovely doves. The team was excellent, in particular Luis and Facundo as dive guides, Esteban and Gerardo as the chefs and Giancarlo on hospitality. I’ve been on 6 liveaboarda and the food was the best I’ve had, incredibly sushi nights, steak and many more. The boat is older but incredibly solid. Most of the negative reviews I’ve read were on the boat, yes the cabins are a bit ‘cozy’ but I knew this going into and didn’t mind. Overall the boat is in great structural condition, everything works very well it just has slightly dated decor and smaller cabins.
