Belize Aggressor III, Belize

The M/V Belize Aggressor III is a 33m luxury liveaboard that comfortably accommodates 18 divers attended to by an attentive crew of 6 members. Boat facilities include a spacious salon with full entertainment system, a sundeck with hot tub, chaise lounges, bar service, and nine spacious cabins. All cabins include a private head and shower, individual climate control and TV/DVD.

Local food specialties and Western fare are prepared by a trained chef and served buffet style in the galley. All beverages, including beer and wine, are free of charge. MV Belize Aggressor III diving facilities include a huge dive deck with personal gear bins, air/nitrox fills, rinse tanks and a three-tiered camera table with low-pressure air hoses, camera rinse tank and E-6 photo lab.

Diving on the Belize Aggressor III begins Sunday morning and ends Friday at lunch. There will be up to 5 dives each day as well as night dives. Belize is renowned for its magnificent wall diving. Sheer walls like Painted Wall, Half Moon Caye Wall and Quebrada are encrusted with massive gorgonians and orange elephant ear sponges hiding Moray eels, spiny lobsters and crabs. Another popular dive site is the Blue Hole, a collapsed freshwater cave system approximately 300m wide and over 120m deep. Jacques Cousteau declared the Blue Hole one of the top ten dive sites in the world. The Belize Aggressor III takes scuba divers to these spectacular sites along with many other stunning dive sites, year round.

The best trip I’ve ever had in my LIFE!

I got to know everyone on our boat and every crew member, and I had the best experience of my life! The crew went above and beyond and were always super happy, and I made friendships I thought I’d never make. This trip has been the best experience of my life, and I would recommend anyone to the Aggressor 3! There was not a single part of my experience that was even close to being negative.

Absolutely the best experience for avid divers that are nature lovers!

All the night dives! The freedom to dive where we wanted in a manner that suited our interest. The really nice people we met, the laughs we shared and the stories! Close encounters of the animal kind: Sharks, rays, turtles. Finding a toad fish!!! Having a remora join us for a dive! Having a big Nassau grouper as a tour guide for one of the dives! Octopus, lobsters, crabs, tiny charming fish, gorgeous corals, sponges and other invertebrates. The teeming life in our flashlight beam and impressive Tarpon zipping around. The opportunity to dive the Blue Hole and the great food all week!

We really enjoyed the different types of dive sites. Except for the Blue Hole, it seems most places are not devastated by tourism. Doing deep dives, and mangrove reef dives were great experiences

Quite nice setup and good team + crew, but the diving sites could be finetuned

3 excellent dive sites, all in Lighthouse reef : Angle fish, Blue Hole and Half Moon Keye. Other dive sites were in in the inner rim of the reef (or in Turneffe), and not so facinating. Ok, but not much fish and a lot of dead colar in some sites. There was only one dive in Blue Hole, even if the trip has been adverticed guite much by Blue Hole. Understand that the Nitrox mix is different and it is a deep dive, but even then most of us (if not all) would have given up 2-3 average dives to get even one more in Blue Hole. Had a bit feeling that we did not push for the best sites as much as possible. This is a captain's call in any case naturally. However everything worked out fine and we had good time.

Excellent crew, beyond expectations for meals; Maybe not the newest but the crew is AWESOME!!!

My son turned 13 on the trip and they mafe sure it was a special day for him! CAN NOT beat the crew and we also had a fantastic group of divers which was just lucky. The boat is a little older but very clean, organized and very well run. Captain Chris, though he may talk a little long, is awesome and makes sure that is a tightly run ship! I would recommend for serious divers looking to maximize time v. locations and variety. Plus A+ food and service. It is all about diving and then the crew fills in the gaps with 5 star service and meals. Would definitely do it again!

Our trip on the Aggressor III was amazing

Diving to over 140 feet in the Blue Hole has to be experienced. It is incredible. Diving Half Moon Caye was beautiful. We felt safe the whole time as the boat was very comfortable and the very experienced crew communicated all aspects of the trip. We were able to chose to head out on our own or join a DM who would invariably be able to locate and point out more sea creatures than we would spot. The staff kept providing little extras like freshly baked cookies after a morning dive and hot chocolate was waiting for us after the night dives. If you do all the scheduled dives you are awarded an "Iron Diver" medal & certificate. I'll treasure mine.

Two fantastic Caribbean reef shark encounters. As soon as we entered the water BANG, 4 good sized reef sharks circling around us. Great photo opportunities. They followed us most of the dive. In fact we saw sharks on 5 consecutive dives (even night dive). Marine life was varied, reef so now great shape. This is my second Liveaboard and so would highly recommend it. The staff was fantastic, top notch service. Also the group I was was with were a great bunch of guys and I made many new friends. I’ll be back

It was a wonderful vacation on a very comfortable and safe boat on the beautiful sea.

I enjoyed my trip to Belize, because it was very well organized, starting from pick up from the airport and throughout the whole week. The crew was very professional, friendly and accommodating. My cabin was a little bit small as is expected for this size of boat. It was very clean and everything worked well. There was enough space on the boat to accommodate all passengers, so I never felt crowded. I enjoyed scuba diving, all diving instructors were very nice, experienced and helpful. All meals and snacks were delicious. We had to leave the boat for one day due to the tropical storm and we spent a night in a comfortable resort. I received a voucher for $300 for missing scuba diving. We also did not get to see tropical birds on the island. Overall, it was a very enjoyable vacation.

Cold times in Belize

We hit a cold spot in Belize so the diving was chilly. But with the excellent company of my fellow passengers we soldiered on happily. We also encountered some wind, which limited our diving options the first few days. We hit a couple of lovely sites the last two days, but really didn't see anything extraordinary. Pretty average diving overall. The crew was competent, if a bit unenthusiastic. Captain Chris was a very hard worker and took good care of us. The rooms were comfortable, the food was good and we appreciated the hot tub very much appreciated after cold dives. It was a real kick that we had fourteen female divers and four very collegial men. Best group of people I've ever had on a Liveaboard.

First class diving experience with impeccable service

A part from the fact that the diving was excellent we found that the crew went above and beyond what you can expect. The service by the crew was impeccable! Captain Matt was a stable rock throughout the whole week. Despite a nonworking stove and then problems with the toilets and plumbing, he was always calm and did his utmost to fix everything and keep us happy! Very impressive! The fact that he also served us some days at diner and breakfast like the other crew members and dove with us also impressed us! Chef Yanis constantly delivered fantastic meals despite the fact that she had to do everything on the grill instead of the stove and oven, as they broke the second day! What dedication! Steward Randy baked some fantastic cakes on the grill, when the oven wasn’t working! He was always on hand, he showed up with his yummy snacks, with a hot cup of tea or chocolate after the night dive, always available in the kitchen! So reliable! Dive Instructors Daniel and Ken, and Dive master Trey where always there with help and good advice, and showed us some spectacular diving. As we didn’t have so much dive experience before this trip their help and advice were invaluable! Daniel’s movie and his experienced help at the Blue Hole as well as at night dives and with our new Dive computers was great. Ken showed us some very nice sites during dives and both large and small critters. He was often there with a warm towel after the dive! Trey also showed us some very nice sights and beautiful fish and often gave us a good laugh! Their experience was reassuring and very helpful. Night watchman Jason was also available a lot of the time despite the fact that he had been up all night. He also did a lot of the horrible work when the toilets broke down. Which we are very grateful for! We would gladly come back to Belize and Aggressor III, as the service by the crew was impeccable. Our next Liveaboard trip will definitely be with the Aggressor fleet!

Great Trip

we could not dive 1st day, but i enjoyed next diving days with lots of coral reef fish. Of course the day we went Blue Hole, was the best!. the only thing I didnot like is that there was no diving guide, during diving. They explained the briefing the way of diving in site. but down the water.. every body was alone! And this is what 1 first asked before booking. But thanks I ve got a great dive buddy we did great team.. and i got more confidence in ourselves guiding the dive!

Second trip on Aggressor III

Captain Chris is outstanding as a captain and as a divemaster. Daniel also is outstanding above and below water, and so is Jerome. It was a pleasure being with them. Yanis and Randy are great in the kitchen, superb cooks, and Jay was a great server. The crew was so friendly, and so professional. The diving was a little disappointing--not as good as two years before. Although we saw about a dozen eagle rays we only saw a few sharks, demonstrating over-fishing. If I was the Aggressor I would put maximum pressure on the Belize government to make the entire area a national marine park--before it is too late.

Lovely trip!

Seeing eagle rays! The good wall dives. Dive sites with ten minute kick to walls should be avoided. Having two guided groups is better especially when some divers are routinely late for briefings and dives!!!! Want to emphasize how hard crew worked for us. Made any complaints minor. But having to nag about marine head in our room the whole trip was a bummer.

Night dives were incredible! Having all of the tanks filled at the station minimized dive transitions and maximized time spent with fellow crew and guests. Necessary food and drinks just appeared seamlessly. All of the dives had abundant color and variety of flora and fauna. I had only been on 12 dives (not trips) before this trip so I really appreciated the helpful hints to maximimize the visual experience in an extreamly safe environment. Great diving despite the hurricane!

We were booked on to a 10 day trip but, due to hurricane Earl, we only dived for 6 days (3 before and 3 after). The crew were all excellent throughout and we still managed to dive all the top spots. Visibility was understandably down after the hurricane, but there was more fish action. The Blue Hole was always going to be exciting and as we were a large boat, and therefore allowed back out sooner than smaller boats, we had it all to ourselves! It was very refreshing to have a policy of allowing divers to do their own thing, and it meant that even though we were 18 people it never felt crowded. The fish life was typical Caribbean and we spotted eagle rays, Caribbean reef sharks and turtles amongst other things.

Good trip overall.

It was good, not great. The hot tub was broken which was disappointing. The weather was not great, no ones's fault. Which made the water murky. We dove 1 dive site 6 times which is not good. There should have been more variety in the sites. I never had a hot shower all week. They said it was the valves and that it had been fixed but there still was never hot water. The service was so good and staff fabulous that they compensated for the above items.
