An honest opinion - I’m glad I picked the Phoenix

Wreck dives were good Overall itinerary was well laid out Guest preferences were integrated into daily schedules The captain if a great chef and meals were good Blue hole dive was really nice Dive guides were good, safety oriented, patient with divers quirks, and adjusted dive profile to satisfy customers skills. Dive guides made life easy by helping water entry/exit and tanks changes if desired. The boat has a good design, cabins nice, better setup in the larger dive boat operators in my opinion. I recommended minor changes to the Phoenix and they listened, so your trip might be even better than mine. On Bahamas diving, wave and sea conditions are milder compared to Caribbean locations, bring sun protection, hats etc. Water temperature at my time was swim suite diving. Liveaboard.com was a good place to book the trip, their agents communicated well, and I’d give them 5 stars also..

The Phoenix is Best liveaboard

We explored dive sites that were not visited by the other liveaboard vessels. We particularly enjoyed the Shark Arena, diving the James Bond boat, the Dog Wall, and the double dive in the Blue Hole.

Recommended for
1. A divemaster accompanied every dive and let us determine the length of the dives. 2. Accommodated our dietary requirements with no problems. 3. Friendly, welcoming crew was eager to provide the best experience possible.

Exceeded all my expectations of a liveaboard experience.

This was my first live-aboard experience and traveled solo. The Bahamas in itself is a beautiful county and the diving was topnotch. An abundance of sea life, including a variety of sharks, rays, grouper, turtles, crabs, lobsters, jacks, snapper.... the list goes on and on. Diving in Exuma felt like swimming through an underwater forest with large schools of fish, giant corals, sea fans and sponges, the reefs were VERY healthy. The boat was cozy and comfortable, with hot fresh water showers and private bathrooms. Captain Navado had great knowledge of the area, always providing safe navigation, history lessons and great sightseeing up top! Dive-master Ivo excelled on fish ID, underwater navigation, diver safety and comfort. He led us through endless swim throughs, wrecks, drift dives, shark dives and the beautiful Lost blue hole. Chef Anna made delicious meals, always creative and different. She catered to specific diets offering hot tea or coffee post dives with fresh baked goods, definitely well fed!! The moment I stepped on board the staff made me feel welcome and at home. We shared stories between dives and over an evening cocktail making them feel more like family in the end than staff. Highly recommend this live-aboard.
