Pro Dive Cairns offers excellent value for money liveaboard diving to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, Australia, aboard the M/V ScubaPro I, II, or III. Perfect for budget- and time-conscious divers, the fully equipped ScubaPro liveaboards are identical, purpose-built dive boats designed to handle all varying weather conditions, offering a smooth and comfortable journey to the Great Barrier Reef. There are 14 centrally controlled air-conditioned twin-share bunk-bed cabins and 2 double-bed cabins.
The main deck is the hub of the boat, featuring a large indoor salon and dining room where meals are served, including a fully cooked hot/cold breakfast, hot and cold lunches, and a hot dinner. Snacks, water, tea, and coffee are available throughout the day. The top deck features a spacious sun deck, providing ample room for relaxation.
Aboard the M/V ScubaPro liveaboards, guests will explore the incredible marine biodiversity of the outer Great Barrier Reef at locations specifically chosen for their exceptional visibility and high-quality marine life. Up to 11 dives are available, including 2-night dives during the 2-night/3-day diving and snorkeling itinerary. The spacious dive deck at the back of the boat offers individual gear storage and ample room for kitting up. Nitrox is also available for those certified.

Incredible trip. The staff were absolutely amazing and super super helpful. We were very well taken care of with amazing food after every dive. Was initially nervous that we didn’t dive with guides, however I felt well prepared after each briefing. Also, guides were offered if we were feeling less confident. Overall an amazing trip and would 100% do it again.

Christmas on the Great Barrier Reef
We had a great 3-day Christmas dive trip with 11 dives on well selected dive sites. Making this trip during low season gave us the reef sites to ourself. Very professional and friendly staff. Can highly recommend this trip with Pro Dive. Dive insurance was included in the price, so there is no need to pay for a seperate dive insurance through liveaboard.com

My trip with Pro Dive Cairns 3-day live aboard on the Great Barrier Reef was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, the crew delivered an experience that was professional, warm, and truly memorable. The diving was absolutely amazing—easily the best I’ve ever done. Crystal-clear visibility, vibrant coral gardens, and an abundance of marine life made every dive unique. Whether it was sunrise dives full of color or magical night dives filled with curious creatures, each moment felt like stepping into a whole new world. The dive briefings were thorough, the gear was in great condition, and the dive sites were chosen with care to give us the best possible conditions. And the food… just fantastic. Every meal exceeded expectations. Fresh, flavorful, and plentiful—exactly what you need after a long day underwater. From hearty breakfasts to delicious dinners and snacks in between, the kitchen crew did an outstanding job keeping everyone happy and energized. The accommodation was comfortable, the atmosphere on board was friendly and relaxed, and the entire crew made the experience feel seamless and safe. Seeing the huge variety of sea life, including turtles, reef sharks, stingrays, moray eels, colourful fish, giant clams, and the living coral. The weather and sea conditions were perfect, with great clarity wherever we stopped to dive. The crew were absolutely amazing!
