Als 18 Meter lange, hochmoderne Segelyacht mit Kompressor kreuzt die Eureka durch die glitzernden Gewässer der Whitsunday Islands. Die Eureka nimmt Gäste mit auf ein authentisches Rennboot-Erlebnis mit ihrem stromlinienförmigen und glatten Finish. Die Eureka kann 12 Passagiere an Bord in 2 privaten Doppelkabinen und einer geräumigen Gemeinschaftskabine beherbergen. Dieses Boot hat reichlich Platz auf dem Hauptdeck und einem Achterdeck, das mit einer wasserdichten Abdeckung geschützt werden kann, groß genug, um alle trocken zu halten. Die Eureka ist somit die ideale Segelyacht für alle Wetterbedingungen. Der klimatisierte Salonbereich verfügt über einen Flachbildfernseher und eine Netflix-Verbindung und dient gleichzeitig als Navigationszentrum des Kapitäns und als Essbereich im Innenraum, in dem alle Mahlzeiten von erfahrenen Besatzungsmitgliedern serviert werden. Der Kapitän der Eureka ist ein geschickter Segler mit 30 Jahren Erfahrung.
Die Eureka hat die komplette Schnorchelausrüstung an Bord. Die erfahrene Crew führt Schnorchelausflüge zu einigen der blühendsten Saumriffe entlang der inneren Teile des Great Barrier Reef rund um die Whitsunday Islands. Abgesehen von den weißen Sandstränden des berühmten Whitehaven Beach und den Buschwanderwegen zum Hill Inlet Lookout können Gäste zu abgelegeneren Orten aufbrechen und versteckte Höhlen und andere Aussichtspunkte der Insel besuchen. Great people
The captain and his assistant were very knowledgable and friendly. The itinerary had to be flexible due to weather, but we were happy that we were able to go snorkeling. It was not as much snorkeling as I wanted, but I don't think the captain had much control over that. The food was fine - better than average on a small ship I would say. My main complaint was that sleeping was not comfortable. We had one of the cabins, but it was incredibly stuffy even with the door and window open. Other people had bunks that were right in hall near the bathrooms, so they did not sleep well, either. It was still a great experience overall.

A fantastic experience for excellent value
This is a wonderful way to see the islands - much more leisurely and personal than a larger day trip tour, yet more economical than chartering a totally private boat. You're in good hands with experienced skipper Mal and helpful guide/deckhand Tom, who run as safe, well-informed, and well-catered an experience as you could wish. I was so excited for this trip and it absolutely delivered. With three days at sea and a small group of fellow travellers, you have plenty of time to enjoy skimming the waves in breathtaking surroundings, exploring the islands at your own pace, and relaxing on deck under the stars. Bring sun-smart clothing (not just sunscreen) so you can enjoy the stunning views from the deck all day. We had two of three snorkelling sites completely to ourselves. There's plenty of wildlife to see as well (always the highlight for me!), including turtles, dolphins, sea eagles, small sharks and rays, and reptiles and birdlife on the islands. Take in every idyllic moment of this cruise - and take plenty of photos!
