The Bajau accommodates 10 guests across 4 well-insulated, naturally ventilated cabins on the main deck—2 triple cabins with a double bed and upper bunk, and 2 twin cabins with bunk beds. Each cabin features a private bathroom, ceiling fan, large window with sea views, desk, reading lights, ample storage, eco-friendly toiletries, and daily cleaning. The open-air design eliminates the need for air conditioning while maintaining comfort and sustainability.
Guests can relax in the shaded open-air dining and lounge area on the main deck or head up to the semi-covered upper deck with a bar, yoga space, and room for sunbathing or stargazing. Meals are a highlight—fresh ingredients are sourced daily from local markets, with no imported meats, and a professional local chef crafts dishes to blend Indonesian and Western flavors.
The Bajau explores Indonesia’s top destinations, from the Komodo Islands, the Flores Sea, Wakatobi National Park, and the Banggai Archipelago. A Great First Liveaboard
The crew of the Bajau were extremely friendly and surprisingly musically talented. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and didn’t feel cramped. Sleeping was very easy thanks to the solar panels removing the need for a generator that runs all night. Our guide, Valen, picked some beautiful snorkeling spots and managed to time everything so that there weren’t too many other boats around. The food and drinks were delicious with plenty of variety.

Absolutely awesome trip on the Bajou
The Komodo snorkelling cruise on the Bajou was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Indonesia. The whole crew were just awesome. Very friendly, lots of fun and they ensure you have a fantastic holiday. The Bajou was a beautiful boat with lots of covered and uncovered area to relax in. The bedrooms don’t have aircon but there are lots of fans and safe to keep the door open so don’t let that put you off. The meals were brilliant - thank you chef! Lots of variety and you will never go hungry. The whole crew would farewell you each time you go out for an activity on the Zephyr and then would welcome you back with a song and a drink. Bajou has solar do no noisey generator. All the activities were great. We got to swim with turtles, reef sharks and even 4 Manta rays. All snorkelling is with a guide and the zephyr drifts along with you so if you need a rest it will pick you up. Most days we just drifted with the current while enjoying an abundance of fish and corals. I can not recommend the Bajou more highly. We were very sad to end the trip and are already planning another trip on the Bajou.
