Wonderful week aboard the Treasure

I had high hopes for this trip, but reality exceeded my expectations. The boat is impeccably maintained, and the crew anticipated our every needs, with a smile. We had the Suite - it was a nice treat to have the extra room & two balconies and additional closet space. The housekeeping staff did an extraordinary job. The room was cleaned typically by the time I got back from breakfast. Sheets and towels were changed during the week. The food was also a highlight: bountiful buffets for every meal with dessert for lunch & dinner, PLUS hot snacks twice daily after excursions, plus hot cocoa/tea & cookies after every snorkeling trip. Jaime was a great naturalist: incredibly well-informed and patient. We saw so much and usually were the only group in an area during excursions. He was willing to do an expedition even if only one person was going. The entire staff did an exceptional job caring for us and making sure that we had the best time in the Galapagos. The one thing that we wished was reduced was the rocking of the boat. It was significant when we were sailing (primarily at night), but mainly due to the time of the year (early September) & the fact that we were sailing in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! Perhaps a larger boat (50-100 people) would have been less rocky, but I wouldn't have traded it for the great experience that we had on the Treasure.

Amazing trip on the Treasure

The trip exceeded all expectations. The crew on the boat went out of their way to service and please guests. The rooms were a very nice size and the bathrooms were modern. Land excursions and snorkeling were amazing with incredible landscape and wildlife. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and kept us all on schedule. The agenda was the perfect amount of activities and down time. Meals were always served promptly and snacks were available between meals. Only areas for improvement: the food was good but not exceptional and the walls were very thin so noise carried between rooms and decks. Nothing that interfered with the trip. It was still an excellent trip and I would absolutely return for another itinerary.

Excellent experience

Our family of 4 had a once in a lifetime experience. The itinerary was terrific - typically four activities (hiking, snorkeling, guided tour) each day with a hearty lunch and siesta each afternoon. The hospitality was excellent and our park guide was phenomenal. Liveaboard was very responsive, supportive and managed some last minute travel changes.

Unforgettable experience in paradise

Seeing all possible animals I ever dreamed of and visiting surreal places. To top it off, the rooms are very spacious as they all have large bathrooms and balcony. Sundeck on top is also enough for all passengers and jacuzzi was nice to use (whenever possible). It can get bumpy at night though as you are cruising to reach your next destination early morning so during two nights was a bit difficult to get to sleep. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and the entire crew went out of their way to make us feel home. We were also lucky to have a relatively young group of people all on the same cruise so that made the experience also more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this to my friends and indeed the western islands were the best island we visited during our 3 weeks stay in the Galapagos so try to get on that itinerary.
