Perfect way to explore Croatia and experience the gorgeous coast, cuisine and immerse yourself in the culture.

A fun filled week with leisure time along with educational & fun excursions.
As just mentioned, the tour leader made the trip for us as she was dependable, knowledgeable and yet a lot of fun. The food was exceptional and our room was better than expected. Clean with great water pressure and cool A/C! Certainly a classy vacation while low key as well.

There were so many highlights and magical moments that it would be difficult to say which was the best. Dubrovnik was amazing and probably takes the top spot. There again, swimming in crystal clear water off the back of the boat, pure heaven!

The highlight of the trip was the scenery. Coming from BC and the Gulf Islands we consider ourselves very spoiled with idyllic island cruising but throw in centuries old villages, historic fortress walls and azure waters and this beats Beautiful BC.

The meals where all very good, but the breakfasts seemed particularily good.. the cruising was exceptional, the mooring villages very picturesque, the water crystal clear for swimming.. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly and our onboard director very amusing..

Maritimo Does it Right
The trip was an amazing departure from a large ship cruise experience; it allowed more time ashore in less crowded ports. The daily schedule was well-paced with ample time to swim then take a one-hour guided tour; free time until the next morning’s departure offered an excellent opportunity to explore each city in-depth and enjoy the local cuisine. A bit more proactive planning regarding onboard activities to better acquaint passengers, such as hosted and no-host socials on the sun deck with music would be welcomed by all.

Unexpectedly Great!
I had no idea what to expect on a trip like this and loved the experience. By far, the best experience I have had on any kind of cruise. I would love to return and do a different itinerary. Minja was great and made the travel fun and interesting. We had a great group of travelers and were sad to depart. The stops were all interesting and well planned. The trip was effortless for the travelers and the staff worked hard to make it so. Croatia is beautiful and everyone should visit. I hope to return someday.

We recently had the pleasure of sailing around the southern Croatian islands with Katarina Line's Deluxe Superior Cruise, and it exceeded all of our expectations. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. What really sets this experience apart from a typical large cruise ship is the intimate atmosphere and the ability to experience Croatia in a much more authentic and personal way. Rather than visiting crowded commercial ports, we docked in the heart of charming coastal towns and islands, allowing us to explore on foot, enjoy the local culture, and experience places that simply aren't accessible to larger ships. With a much smaller number of passengers, the experience felt relaxed, friendly, and personalized, and we quickly got to know both our fellow travellers and the wonderful crew. From the moment we boarded, the professionalism, warmth, and friendliness of the entire crew stood out. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable, well-informed, and enjoying every moment of the journey. The itinerary was exceptionally well planned, with the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. Each day included opportunities to swim in the crystal-clear Adriatic, enjoy the beautiful islands, and participate in thoughtfully organized excursions. We especially appreciated learning about Croatia's rich history, culture, and traditions through the excellent local guides, who were both knowledgeable and entertaining. There were also a variety of optional excursions available, allowing everyone to tailor the experience to their own interests. Two particular highlights were the outstanding oyster tasting in Ston and the unforgettable PEKA dinner in a traditional Croatian village. Both experiences offered an authentic taste of Croatian hospitality and cuisine and were among our favourite memories of the trip. A special thank you to our cruise manager, Juri, whose organization, professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine care ensured everything ran seamlessly. He made everyone feel welcome, kept everything running effortlessly, and made sure every guest felt well looked after throughout the voyage. This cruise was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it and are already looking forward to returning next year to explore the northern Croatian islands with Katarina Line. Outstanding experience - the only way to cruise along the coast.
The whole week was amazing - exactly what we had hoped for. Our tour manager Daniella is the best! Loved swimming off the back of the boat in small coves and beaches. Good balance of cruising along the coast and guided visits to small towns. The Bibich Winery visit was especially interesting as was the champagne reception before we toured the Apoxyomenos Museum in Mali Losinj.

CROATIA IS ABSOLUTLEY FABULOUS! Warm, lovely people, and a stunningly beautiful country
FABULOUS! Captain Petar of the Markan did an excellent job adjusting our itinerary according to the weather. Salon managers Ivan and Predrag were a joy to be around and clearly loved their jobs. Chefs Sasa and Marko delivered excellent meals that were enjoyed by all. Ilijana kept our cabin clean and well stocked while sailors Duje and Nikola did a great job keeping the decks shipshape. Our tour manager, Fillip, kept us informed with daily updates and guided us through onshore excursions. Musicians were brought onboard for the Captain's Dinner, and everyone loved the party. The cabin was larger than expected and comfortable with a large bathroom, plenty of storage and a delightful balcony.

Our review
Overall, we enjoyed the boat. The staff was fantastic. A few suggestions. For the double beds, consider a filler in the middle with a cover that goes over the entire bed. The beds kept splitting apart and the single size cover didn’t work as well as a full sized comforter would have. We had a few chilly days. Allow the cabins to choose heat. The only option we had was to turn the AC off but the cabin remained cold. Had a lukewarm shower in the morning. Was told ‘this happens’ but it would heat up later (when we were off the boat). Lastly, choose a better port location in Trogir for the final day. We shouldn’t have to walk 20 minutes to get to the street to get to the arranged driver all the while pulling our luggage. These are just suggestions that would make a great trip even better. We enjoyed the itinerary. Croatia is a beautiful country!

The Boat! The Crew! The characters! Croatia! Perfect Trip!
My wife and I were lucky enough to board Futura with Nika as our Coordinator - captain D as our trusty and capable leaded and a crew that was absolutely top notch. The room which was on the main cabin floor was well appointed, great water pressure (hot and cold) - AC worked brilliantly and it was quiet- we slept well and the the lovely person who service our room did just that daily. Dominic and Youra were the bar and waitstaff and they were nice, engaging, cool honestly, and great at making drinks, explaining our dining options, and always there! The Food! I have never had better food served for a group of 25! Fresh, locally inspired, hot and delicious- i think Marija was head chef and she is something else!!! Kristian and Roco were the deck hands and all around crew and they were helpful from beginning to end!!!!! We boarded the Futura in Dubrovnik and did a shorter trip from there to Split but actually got off after the captain’s dinner (which was a ton of fun!— i got to sing with the band!) in Bracē which is where my friends live full time. I do recommend maybe seeing a swim spot on that island- because it’s beautiful! We were lucky to avoid the saturday morning crowds at the disembarkment and then see Split on a weekday- wow what a town! It’s a busy place but full Of energy, shops, bars and history! This was all thanks to Nika being straightforward and accommodating and anticipating what her guests needs were and we just hope she’s our leader in the future. This was an unforgettable trip, we made lasting friends, and will be booking with Katarina Lines in the future! I hope didnt leave any one or any detail out! A really thoughtfully balanced trip with Just enough organization and plenty of time to ourselves!

What a 7 day treat
Every day had a highlight, whether it was eating mussels on a privately organized trip, visiting the Blue Grotto, or climbing the Great Wall in Ston. All while being guided by Stan, our wonderful tour guide.
