Renovated in 2016, the twin-hulled Coral Expeditions I is a boutique vessel that is perfect for intimate small ship cruises with high standards of comfort and service. The stable ship is ideal for those who worry about motion sickness. With just 25 cabins, and a maximum of 46 guests per trip, you can make new friends and meet like-minded travellers without being afloat with the masses. All en suite rooms provide outside views and have air conditioning and sufficient storage space. Head up to the sun deck for some fresh air and to enjoy the views, and kick back at the bar with a drink as you swap stories with other passengers. If the heat’s a bit too much you can retreat to the air-conditioned lounge, complete with large windows so you don’t miss anything. The large dining room can fit all guests at the same time and you can visit the open bridge to watch the captain controlling your vessel and deftly maneuvering through the waters. Other onboard facilities include a reference library, Wi-Fi, and a gift shop, and snorkelling equipment is available for you to marvel at the underwater delights.

The Coral Expeditions I sails on several routes around Australia’s diverse and rugged coastline. You can join a 10-night adventure from Broome to Darwin, or vice versa, exploring the wonders of the Kimberley, with highlights that include the Montgomery Reef, the Gwion Gwion paintings, Hathaway’s Hideaway, and Mitchell Falls. If you’re tempted by the Great Barrier Reef, how about an 11-night trip around Cape York and Arnhem Land, starting from Cairns and ending in Darwin? Including the remote Tiwi Islands, the cruise packs in plenty of activities and sights. Or, travel the reverse route for 12 nights and explore the Cobourg Peninsula, the Wessel Islands, Echo Island, Gove, and more. Whichever Australian cruise you take aboard the Coral Expeditions I is sure to provide many moment of awe and long-lasting memories.

The experienced and welcoming crew is keen to extend a warm greeting and provide high standards of service during your amazing trip. Call us or book online to reserve your places on the Coral Expeditions I.

Fantastic once in a lifetime experience. The Kimberley: Broome - Darwin, Australia in April

Nares Point with its convoluted and confounding geology. King George Falls experience (including being drenched underneath them in the Zodiac) Interesting and informative talks by the guest lecturers. Amazing hard working crew, who went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible. Only slight downside was the fact they didn’t cater for my wife’s special (allergy related) dietary requirements on three occasions.

Amazing geology; Informative re history and Aboriginal culture; Amazing crew/hospitality/food.
