Wilderness Explorer, Alaska

BOOK NOW

In service since 1976, the Wilderness Explorer was fully renovated in 2011. There are 37 cabins in total, catering to up to a maximum of 74 guests per trip, with a choice of three cabin types. All rooms are en suite with air conditioning, a window, ample storage space, an iPod docking station, and a TV/DVD player. The communal areas are welcoming, with a spacious, well-lit dining room, a lounge with a bar and all-round windows, a sun deck, an observation area, and a rooftop hot tub. Find inner balance and harmony and have a go at yoga; mats are available. There’s gym equipment onboard for you to use, and the boat carries a good selection of adventure equipment, such as kayaks, skiffs, and walking poles. Experience more of Alaska’s nature thanks to the underwater camera and hydrophone.

Board the Wilderness Explorer for a memorable voyage of discovery around Alaska. Various itineraries are available, with the longest cruise lasting for an incredible 21 nights and sailing between Juneau and Sitka. See a fascinating selection of wildlife and dramatic scenery, and enjoy a cultural trip to a Tlingit village. Highlights include Glacier Bay National Park, Misty Fjords National Monument, Behm Canal, Tongass National Forest, and the islands of Baranof, Chichagof, and South Marble. Cruises between Ketchikan and Sitka last for 14 nights, and a two-week round trip is also possible from Juneau. Explore the eastern or western coves of the Inner Reaches, combine Glacier Bay with the Inner Passage, or sail between Seattle and Alaska to combine the waters of two US states and a small section of Canada.

The professional staff members on the Wilderness Explorer extend a warm welcome to all passengers, and do their best to ensure a pleasant and memorable cruise. Complete your booking without delay to guarantee your dates; call us or book online.
