Highlights
The National Geographic Sea Lion is an expedition ship accommodating up to 62 guests in 31 outside-facing cabins across three decks. Each cabin offers a private bathroom, climate controls, and views through a window or porthole. With a crew of 30, the ship provides attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere well suited to active, small-ship exploration.
Social spaces include a library, an observation deck, a partially covered sun deck, and a comfortable lounge with a full-service bar and facilities for presentations, films, and daily expedition briefings. Guests can visit the open bridge to meet the officers and learn about navigation. Meals featuring sustainable and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible are served at informal, unassigned tables in the dining room.
The National Geographic Sea Lion explores the west coast of North America. Its shallow draft and compact size allow it to navigate fast-moving channels, secluded coves, protected bays, and waterways beyond the reach of larger ships. Depending on the itinerary, guests may approach waterfalls, search for whales and other wildlife, transit historic locks, or explore by Zodiac and kayak.
