Highlights
The National Geographic Sea Bird is an expedition ship accommodating up to 62 guests in 31 outside-facing cabins across 3 decks. Cabins feature windows, twin beds, bedside tables, storage space, and private bathrooms. Its small scale creates a relaxed, sociable atmosphere while allowing guests to remain close to the landscapes and wildlife throughout each voyage.
Public spaces include a library, an observation deck, and a partially covered sundeck with outdoor seating. The lounge has a full-service bar and facilities for films, presentations, and daily expedition briefings, while the open bridge allows guests to meet the officers and learn about navigation. Meals are served in the dining room at a single, informal seating, with unassigned tables and menus featuring sustainable, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
The ship’s shallow draft allows it to enter narrow channels, secluded coves, protected anchorages, and other areas inaccessible to larger vessels. Expedition equipment includes 6 Zodiacs, 16 kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, supporting wildlife-watching excursions and active exploration. The National Geographic Sea Bird explores Alaska’s wild coastline, with opportunities to discover fjords, waterfalls, temperate rainforests, and remote islands alongside experienced naturalists.
