      Guayaquil in Ecuador is one of the main South American ports in the Pacific. The climate is hot for the first semester of the year and breeze cool for the rest of it. Guests who will take a Liveaboard to Galapagos Island will either arrive at the international airport in Guayaquil or in Quito to the North. There is a beautiful riverfront promenade, green areas and modern shopping arcades all over the city which attracts tourism from inside and outside the country.


      The Pacific coast of Ecuador is rich in marine life and there are plenty of diving opportunities from the mainland. However, diving in this area of the world is definitely focused on the Galapagos Islands, which are just a short domestic flight away. There are three air carriers that will take you across to the Galapagos Islands as well as to the Ecuadorean mainland, LAN, Aerogal and TAME have non stop daily flights, departing from Guayaquil is cheaper than leaving from the Capital city as most of the Quito flights do make an stop at Guayaquil for refueling and picking up passengers.
