What to expect on the new southern sharks' itinerary

This Red Sea liveaboard dive trip is sure to deliver some unforgettable moments as you head to southern Egypt to St. Johns, Rocky, Daedalus & Elphinstone reefs. The warm waters in August offer the best chance to see the magnificent Red Sea sharks in action. Possible sightings on these trips include the Oceanic White Tip (Longimanus), White Tips, Grey Reef, Silkies, Manta Rays, Dolphins, Hammerheads and the occasional Thresher Shark & Tiger Shark.

This is a new itinerary with one goal in mind – find sharks! The experienced captain and crew will use their vast knowledge of the area to set off in search of the best shark sightings. In the past, there have been up-close encounters with Oceanic White-Tips hanging around under the boat, Hammerheads being spotted playing in the current at Daedalus and Manta Rays at the south plateau. At Big Brother lucky divers have spotted the elusive Thresher Shark rising up out of the deep in search of a good clean and who knows what will be at either plateau of Elphinstone!

With no set schedule, this trip will be one to remember. Plans can change based on the weather and currents, and the captain and guides will do their best to go where the action is. The southern area of the Egyptian Red Sea offers fantastic diving even without the shark sightings. St. Johns is home to possibly some of the healthiest corals in the Red Sea, with pristine walls, stunning visibility and the chance of seeing amazing creatures hunting such as sailfish.

Departing from Port Ghalib, Marsa Alam, Emperor Asmaa will head south in search of these amazing creatures. Call us or book online today for an amazing summer trip! You can book this itinerary here.

Please Note: Itinerary is subject to weather and ocean conditions and the route can change at any time. Whilst the focus of the trip is for amazing shark sightings, the captain and guides will do their best but shark sightings are NOT guaranteed
